Came here for a business lunch and was very impressed by the service, food, and management. We had the day time manager and even the general manager come by to replace our waters and ask us how our food and experience was. Would highly recommend, and would come back again.

I love going to Earls because doesn't matter the style of food I might be craving, they have it, and of course it tastes amazing. I've been to multiple locations and the Earls Test Kitchen at Hornby St is my favorite one, mainly because of their staff - they are friendly, helpful, and efficient. At all locations they are like that but at this one they stand out.

We were 8 people, and only 3 people enjoyed thier meals. The fish tacos were almost inedible, the batter was sooo thick and over cooked. The weird chips were terrible, the salmon press was very salty, the tofu was also weirdly overly breaded and too salty, the steak was over cooked, chicken burger was too spicy and the fries were cold. Over all very disappointed 😞. When the server came back and took the uneaten fish tacos, that were barely touched, she never even questioned us.

This was a short notice booking for a dinner with my spouse. This atmosphere is excellent and we were asked while booking what type of visit this was. Consequently, as this was a ‘date' we were given a table in the quieter part of the restaurant. Our server, Hilary, was the nicest waitress we have ever met. To put this in context, we eat out at least 3 times per week and travel globally. The food was excellent. Good quality, well presented, and large portions. I highly recommend this for a stop when in Vancouver.

We were a group of 8 which is not always easy to seat. The set up for that many people was perfect and comfortable. The service was efficient and everyone absolutely enjoyed their food. We had a Vegan in our party and there were adequate choices for her as well. Would definitely recommend Earls Test Kitchen.

Happy Hour Petit Steak and Frites great deal. Ordered cocktail and was disappointed when I was not told it was on the HH drinks. It cost way more than my steak frites!

Steak was tough and over cooked. Had to send it back. Server did not come ask how the food was and we had to call him over after 30 mins. I had to sit there not able to eat my steak (because it was burnt, overcooked and dry while I asked for medium rare) and my boyfriend finished his meal by the time I was able to send it back. Not a good dinner and horrible experience.
Food was excellent and service fantastic. The manager even popped by to chat with us. We had brunch Loved the potatoes!
