Update: Thank you Christian for the reply. I appreciate you offer, but
The review is based on my experience that day. It is based on what happened, not a special retry.

Admittedly, we haven't been to Earls for a while.
When we arrived, the hostess required a phone number and name before we were seated. The restaurant was more than 1/2 empty, so it was not like they were going to call us when a table became available.

Our server seemed to be unhappy to be there and only visited our table to take our order and give us the bill.( Another person dropped the food and drinks off, which came quickly.)
The hamburger patty was very dry, and the fries were not crispy.

We had a nice table with a view of the parking lot. It turns out the lot was free if you registered with the front desk. The lot was full, despite the 1/2 full seating , so we parked nearby at a street meter.
Overall, the experience this time was not great, and for value was low. As there are other options close by, I think we will try one of them next time.

The food was amazing as always!! Our server Kyle was the best guy ever, Vaibhav took out the time to come and check on us and if the food was good or not. Overall, we enjoyed our evening to the fullest!!

Emily was a terrific server who gave good suggestions and was patient with our indecisiveness. Felt very cared for by Emily.

The portion sizes have definitely gotten smaller , my boyfriend had wings and I had the tacos it was nice but for 70$ for lunch it was abit pricy

One of my favourite places to dine. From the moment you walk in you're warmly greeted by the hosts and seated promptly. Our server Riley was very attentive and friendly and really made our dining so enjoyable. He made great suggestions to try the Cajun salmon and Queen bee pizza. Both were cooked perfectly and delicious. Would highly recommend. Also, I used to work in the neighborhood and frequented often for lunch. I'm so happy to say that after 20 years their standards for food quality and amazing service still remains high and truly excellent. Should mention that it's nice that they still have guest parking available which is a plus.

There are a lot of restaurants in Vancouver that I've been to and this location of Earls (W. Broadway & Fir) is good and very dependable. You always know you're going to have an overall high quality experience. Food was great and it's close to the Stanley Theatre where we were seeing a show after dinner. The only minor thing is, that I did explain when making my reservation on Open Table, that I have a hearing loss and that I wanted to be seated in a quieter section of the restaurant and that's not where our reserved table was. Fortunately there was an alternative. But if there hadn't been I would not have been happy. It's hard to find restaurants who don't feel they have to blast music in order to look popular. It's ridiculous. People don't want to have to shout to the person across the table or next to them. Our server was very attentive despite some problems with another table.

The service was excellent from the hostess to the wait staff. All were friendly and attentive. The food was very good and well prepared and presented. First visit to this Earls in many years since we lived here. We had fond memories and were not disappointed.

Come to this restaurant a lot as it has good food, good service. Was disappointed that they suddenly changed their happy hour and now only serve it in one section of the restaurant which is new (and foolish in our estimation. Who does that and why?!). Manager on duty was very good and understanding and let us move tables. Extra kudos to a brand new server (we were his second table ever) Zino who did a great job and is extremely personable and hard working.

Service and food was ok.. Why is your Happy Hour only in the lounge ? My friends and I frequent the Yaletown location throughout the year, we love the Happy Hour and the half price bottles of wine on a Tuesday. Just curious why the Fir Street location is restricted just to the lounge.
