Mixed experience. We went to try the Dine Out Menu but it is literally just the regular Silk Route Feast menu with an extra $6 thrown on for a chai tea. There's no Dine Out Menu at all and it's more expensive than the regular one if you ask for Dine Out. We had the regular Silk Route Feat menu which was nice, the salmon was the only dish we didn't really like as it was very fishy and salty. The lamb curry, chicken kabob & cauliflower curry were stand outs. It was very busy and there was live music (for which you have to pay $5pp) but our server was lovely and the wine was nice.

This is a wonderful restaurant. The food was excellent. The service was attentive but not too much. The live music added to the atmosphere. I would highly recommend East is East.

Very nice ambience, great food! The only disappointment was the promised live music performance. Our reservation was for 7.30 pm and as we arrived the artists with harp were leaving! There was no more stage music performance. Instead a man was playing violin walking around tables which was not particularly appealing. Our bill included additional charges for the live music event, which seemed unreasonable since there was no stage performance during our dinner time. We had been so looking forward to the harp performance and wish there had been clear information that the stage event would end by 7.30 pm. We might have considered an earlier time.

The service was excellent and attentive from the greeting, to throughout the meal. The ambience was lovely with dim lighting, exotic furnishings and carpets and the musician. The food was outstanding. I loved the variety of the dishes and the spices. That was definitely the highlight and reason we came. I came here four years ago and was really surprised at how much the price of the feast has gone up, it used to be about $34 and is now $50, meaning I can only afford to splurge here on special occasions, like the one recently. I appreciated the nice touches like the chai when were first greeted by the hostess, the complementary birthday dessert and cookies.

The food is really good but the service took too long for us. Our lunch took 2 hours bc it took so long for food to come. It's usually much faster than this so I hope it's just a one time thing.

The minute we walked in the door, the hostess presented us with a small cup of chai tea. We were quickly seated and water brought to the table. Our server was very knowledgeable about the food. The menu choices are quite varied. A lot of vegetarian options as well. The food was really good but it was the friendliness of the staff and ambiance that compelled the high score.

Fun place. Great variety of food. Servers are very attentive and personable and overall the place has a welcoming vibe to it. Took a family member there for a small celebration and they were suitably impressed. Said it was possibly the best meal they've had. I think all I really need to say is I've been there before and will be going again.
