Was walking by drunk, saw a sign that said Tako Bomb! Deep fried octopus balls for like $6. Sounds good I could use a little snack. Wasn't just a little snack. Received a big container that tasted very good and very interesting. My taste buds still don't know what to think! Too bad I'm only a tourist, I'love to explore their menu!

Great little place, came up with a lot it recent years but not as much as the other lunch places around. I can still get a decent lunch for 10.

Amazing Japanese fast food! It is super tasty and cheap. The staff is friendly. It is located by the public library area. It is not very spacious but cosy. There are some tables inside and outside. The order is prepared super fast. I really enjoyed it.

Best Japanese food I’ve had in Vancouver. All other places I’ve been to were ran by Chinese or Koreans, this one had all Japanese staff as far as I can tell. And the taste reflects it. Buta mayo is amazing if you want something lighter and “fresh”, and all their curry options are great for dinner!
I fail to understand the negative reviews. If you don’t like oily food or deep fried food, why order tempura? It’s like going to KFC and leaving a negative review cuz you hate fried chicken. Or complaining that donuts are too high in Calories because you’re on a diet. Common sense where? And so what if they raised the prices? After the price change they’re still only charging food court prices for high end restaurant quality food. If you can’t even afford a $12-15 meal, eat home. There is nothing wrong with that.
Cheaper than Saboten (which I believe is also Japanese owned), and way better tasting.

Surprisingly quick to go through the long line, surprisingly quick to get your food after ordering, and surprisingly affordable yet delicious.
Plus, you can get a bunch of things to go that are good and dirt cheap
