Owner is not fond of the poppy fund. So I won't be going back.

I had a very upsetting experience here this morning.
I went in with my newborn and the young man behind the counter said to me ‘ do you mind? you’re hitting everyone’

No one complained about my stroller being in the way, and people were able to pass by me no problem. I certainly did not hit anyone.
I was in the line to order my coffee just like everyone else.

His comment felt completely unnecessary and untruthful, he seemed irritated by me from the start.
It made me feel pressured to move quickly with my stroller and newborn.

The coffee was great, but extremely upsetting customer service and very unwelcoming.

Just the cutest Queer-friendly coffee shop. Pastries are fresh and tasty, breaky sandwich hits the spot, and espresso is consistent. I love the staff, and enjoy the quieter back room.

In spending 3-4 days in Vancouver I stumbled upon this gem
On asking for a triple shot espresso, was informed it was the same price for a quad shot, so that was good..
I was offered two choices of coffee bean
If not asked make sure you ask, otherwise they may default to their standard bean variety
Because of the quality (you can’t hide with over extracted in an espresso) I went back when in the area a couple of days later, both occasions the coffee baristas produced lovely coffees with no bitterness
I recommend the coffee shop, an oasis located amongst the Starbucks ..

I stopped here twice for coffee and the breakfast sandwich. Loved the pickled onions on it! Must try. Staff were super friendly and recommended a delicious blueberry oat muffin.

I visited Elysian Coffee on Burrard around 12:30 PM on July 21. I needed to use the washroom, so I politely asked a staff member (a woman with her hair tied back and black-rimmed glasses) for the code. She frowned and said, “One second,” in an unfriendly tone. When she finally gave me the code, she spoke in a rude and aggressive way, pointing her finger and telling me to wait somewhere else because someone was inside.

There was no need for that kind of attitude, especially in front of other customers. I waited at my table for 20 minutes, and no one came out. When I knocked and entered, the washroom was completely empty.

I usually love Elysian — the Mount Pleasant location, in particular, has kind and professional staff who make every visit enjoyable. Sadly, this Burrard visit left a very bad impression. Customer service really matters, and this experience was far below the standard I expected.

Tried the iced banana chocolate latte and chocolate croissant and both were delicious! Love the interior space. The servers are super nice. Lovely outdoor space facing the road.
