I tried both the pork buns and the french bread. Pork buns were solid, but the french bread for the cost is unbeatable.
This place is cash only and has neighborhood hole-in-the-wall charm. The sandwich pictured is the one I made with the bread. The picture of the pork bun *attempts* to capture the filling of pork and egg. The pork bun is cold which while you can eat it, these are better steamed or microwaves at home.
I'll be coming back for the French bread in future.

The best ones for Philly cheesesteaks in all of Vancouver. I searched all over the city on Superbowl Sunday for the proper buns and Empress bakery was by far the best. I only had a small order of four buns but they were super friendly and helpful.
