Big flavours, great service and charming diner. We loved our xperience and will return again.
The place has an awesome menu and great prices. Each day of the week has specials. The waitstaff were attentive and friendly and helpful. My beet salad had no beets in it, the chicken wings had no flavour and the mushroom kimchi pancake was bland. I will definitely try this restaurant again and order different items than above.
Not for hungry vegetarians with dairy restrictions. The meat and dairy eaters had wonderful meals at Fable Diner, the steak came cooked to order, the milkshake was visually great and according to reports tasted really good. The parmesan fries were outstanding. I am a vegetarian who cannot eat dairy and I left the restaurant hungry. I had the Dine Out Vancouver veggie option menu of beet salad, risotto and sorbet. The beet salad was sufficient for a starter but the pieces of beet were sliced thin. The risotto was a small portion of rice including broccolini and zucchini, It was tasty, but not filling. There was no protein in the meal (tofu, nuts or veggie ch'kn) or any option to add for extra cost. I upgraded my son's meal to steak for $6 extra from the Dine Out options, and would have gladly paid extra for a satisfying veggie meal. The size of the portion was small, as I have been served at other establishments as a side dish, not the main course. When I saw the generous helpings served to my guests who had chosen the burger and the steak option, I realized that the restaurant did not put much thought into the veggie option. Their main courses contained as many vegetables as mine, plus a large helping of fries and sufficient protein. I was treating my son and his partner to his birthday dinner, so I wanted it to be a happy occasion. I ask the management to consider how they would feel if their companions were served heaping plates and you were served a big bowl with a small amount of risotto in the bottom? The cost of ingredients for my meal was far less than my guests, it would not have hurt the restaurant to give me more rice. The risotto was nicely cooked and the veggies were tasty, but I was still hungry. I thought about ordering fries, but they had parmesan that I could not eat. I did not want to spoil the experience for my guests. I am glad there was sorbet that I could eat for desert. The service was professional and prompt. I will not return.
First time dining here and it was a great experience. The food was delicious, the staff very welcoming and made the experience even more enjoyable. Such a cool diner vibe and we will be back again for sure.
My friend and I had a really tasty lunch at Fable Broadway recently. The service was excellent as well. I will definitely return.
Food was good and simple, server didn't check on us much which was too bad, no quality check was done after receiving our food when we wanted to ask for sides of sauces & butter so we just had to eat without them. It wasn't until we were finished eating that she checked on us. Overall decent spot for a Sunday brunch.
Very kind server checked ingredients in the ice cream for us and was very thorough. They did not make it a chore at all! Really appreciate it as checking for allergens can be a real pain. They use Chapmans ice cream which is great!

I think not having dedicated servers makes service really disorganized. We received the wrong drink twice, by two different servers. We sat for a long time after we finished with empty drinks without being offered anything else. We had to ask for our bill. It was really loud. The food was fine, but the vibe was not for me.
Amazing staff- so friendly and attentive in such a busy place during brunch. The noise level is high as the surfaces are hard and brunch is popular. The tasty food is worth another visit.
Had a very late brunch, turns out it's their happy hour time. Without hesitation, I picked their $5 red wine, paired with the main course trucker's plate, which consists of their buttery-tasting sourdough bread, a selection of protein I chose (sausage), and their crunchy and delicious breakfast potatoes, also served with two fried sunny-side eggs.
Unfortunately, they don't serve poached eggs after breakfast time
But overall it was worth it!

Pretty good spot! The portions were a little on the smaller side, but the pork belly bennys were delish!
Came here in the morning when they opened. Service was fast and friendly but the wait time for food was over 30 minutes, and it wasn’t busy. I ordered the beef brisket dip and it was not at all what I was expecting. The meat was weirdly spicy, inedible gristle, and was served without au jus- I had to ask for it on the side. A beef dip without au jus is just a sandwich. When the au jus arrived it was in a small ramekin and the flavour was sour (not sure if it was vinegar but it was not tasty). Overall a really disappointing experience, I was hoping for better. On the plus side it seemed clean inside.

Great food and very friendly and attentive staff. Vibey diner style setting with comfortable seating. We went there before a nearby show at The Fox theatre. Turns out Fable Diner offers a discount when you present a ticket for a show at The Fox (must be day of show). Wonderful experience!
4$ dollar beer, great food and Trivia. Will be coming again

We ordered as soon as we got to our table and still waited 30min+ for our food to come out. It was good breakfast food but nothing super special that would warrant that wait. It was very busy so I understand the delay— that being said there are other spots in the area that would serve you better food for the same or shorter wait. The Hostess also seated others who came after us first which was confusing and a bit frustrating. Don’t think I’ll be back again.
