I love fables concept from farm to table.
I've always wondered how they would interpret diner style food here. I was very excited and had high expectations. From the hostess to the service at our table, front house service is excellent. As for the food, wow it was very memorable.

I had the duck pancakes. Savoury duck, kimchi, fried sunny egg on top, it was incredible. The pancake itself wasn't heavy. I didn't feel gross and greased out. The fermented spicey cabbage really cut the fat of the duck.

My friend ordered the pull pork bennys. Holy smokes the biscuits were delicious. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Amazing prep skills, cudos to the chefs in the back. We both loved their hash browns so much. I ordered an extra and I love how they garnish with sour cream and onions.
I would definitely recommend everyone to try this place once. I've fallen in love.
This place is one of my top diner places to go now.

Ordered the duck pancake, it’s flavourful and the duck meat is tender. Unfortunately there was a bone in it. I didn’t tell the waitress but she was attentive when she collected my finished plate and waived my coffee because of this.

Truckers breakfast: wish the portion could be bigger. Bacon was too dry and overcooked to my taste. Scrambled eggs were not very flavourful.

The duck pancakes were delicious! Wasn’t so impressed with the avocado toast or the benny (overcooked) but their service made up for everything. Would go back to try some other items next time.

Nov 2024: Experience not as great as it used to be. It was packed so we waited 20 minutes for a seat. Once seated, no one took our order for another 10 minutes. Long wait for food, tables around us also waited. By the time we got food, we'd been there 50 minutes, had to extend my parking payment.

The food wasn't as perfect as it used to be. Ordered the breakfast poutine, which looked underwhelming with grey-tinged (mushroom?) gravy and brussel sprouts! I ordered the potatoes extra crispy but they came out average, soft. The burger was also meh, presentation a little haphazard.

I used to describe Fable as an elevated diner. Now, it's just a diner. Sadly, need to lower my previous rating.

2019 review: Wow. This place takes food to the next level, presenting food in novel ways, but at the same time optimizing taste and texture. Love the laid-back diner ambiance and comfy banquet seats.

Food was pretty mid - I had the truckers breakfast which was $18 - pretty overpriced. Coffee cups were super small and finished them pretty fast and had to wait on the waitresses to fill which they were busy. The atmosphere was nice but music was pretty loud and was hard to have a conversation. Played old episodes of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives lol. I wouldnt spend my money here as its pretty expensive and would get more at a dennys for half the price

Super rude. Right after our meal they dropped off the bill and the manager came over to us saying that they need the table back. We haven’t even had time to finish our drinks that we paid for. Super dissapointing experience.

Been in the neighborhood for over a year and had never tried this spot. Glad I went in. Good food and service.

Overall just okay, nothing special. But food wise, not good. I ordered the smoked salmon and it was extremely salty. Seemed like the chef accidentally dropped a bucket of salt on it.

For $25 per person kind of expected more. Pork belly was nice.breakfast potatoes were only okay. Eggs were eggs.

I was excited to come for brunch here but was left disappointed in the options they had for celiacs. A side salad as the only sub for potatoes seems a bit dated. As well an extra 2.50 for a side salad and an extra 2.00 for gf english muffin is wild. If you’re willing to have a mediocre meal for a heavier price, then you found your place.

Staff are super friendly and go out of their way to make your experience enjoyable. An extensive drink menu with some delicious hard milkshakes.

It was great, pretty expensive for a diner and you have to keep waving down servers but the food was tasty and the cups are really cool, wish I could buy a mug.
