The atmosphere was really clean and gave off modern diner vibes! Nice place for brunch. I didn’t realize they had a trivia night and a boozy brunch! I’m curious what the price of boozy brunch would be but either way it was a good time. I also loved how they make their own hot sauces in house. I absolutely love hot sauce so was super excited to try it out. The green sauce was the spiciest while the red sauce was the mildest. I actually liked the yellow one the best which was right in the middle of spicy but had an interesting vinegar profile to it.

My three pals and I went for a bite here last night and didn’t know what to expect when the host told us it would be a bit of an extra wait for food.Let me just say our expectations were exceeded and we had such an awesome meal here.?❗️HUGE SHOUT OUT TO JORY - he was AMAZING. SO hospitable, friendly and made sure we were attended to despite it being understaffed and quite busy. this man deserves a raise!!!Vegetarian options: the vegan bowl is YUM and is so much food!

I had such a good experience here, the food was so good but what made our experience super amazing was our server Jory!! He was so attentive, funny and awesome, it might be the best service I’ve ever had at a restaurant! Will definitely be returning :)

Extremely disorganized, which leads to the service issues you see in the other reviews. The new manager needs to go. The place operates far better when he is not there, and better before he was hired. Other managers and majority of staff are pleasant to deal with.

I will start off by saying that the average Vancouver brunch enthusiast has never worked in service and just shows up to a brunch spot on a weekend at 12 or 1. while I have never worked at Fable, I have worked at another breakfast resto in Vancouver. with every table packed in the room and a line out the door people still somehow expected to be seated instantly, greeted, coddled and treated as if they were the only person in the world. I have been going to fable for five years now and while the staff is always changing as well as the menu, I have never had bad food here. Of course sometimes there is a line when every table in the room is full and it’s a busy weekend brunch and of course sometimes there’s a wait - due to again every table being full during a busy weekend brunch. upon reading the above reviews, all I see are entitled yuppie expectations from people that apparently want their shoes shined and their faces pampered while going to get a very reasonably priced and delicious breakfast during an incredibly busy service weekend.Again, the food has always been better than average// reasonably priced, and the servers are always kind, even when slammed. I have gone to fable at 4 PM on a Thursday and I have gone to fable at 1 PM on on a Saturday and what’s important is that the restaurant delivers the same enjoyable experience in its cosy atmosphere with good food.I cannot say the same about most other brunch and breakfast restaurants in the city, including the one I used to work for. While very few restaurants in the city deserve a perfect score, I am avidly adding one to Fables record (on Google) because it definitely doesn’t deserve the first world judgement of our yuppie population expecting so much from a place that does so much better than most others in this backwards city.Lastly their rosti out performs ANY and EVERY hashbrown or hash item in Van.

I don't know what happened to this place. It used to be a place that I highly recommended to people, especially their breakfast. However, it would appear they have changed chefs/owners (who knows?) and their breakfast menu has dramatically been downsized, their bacon is this thick slab of meat consisting mainly of pork fat, their pancakes are flavourless and dry, their "signature" potatoes look and taste like dried ramen noodles (no exaggeration, believe me) and that's just their breakfast menu. They used to have pancake options, french toast and other breakfast staples. No longer. Don't even get me started on their lunch and dinner options. I am so disappointed! I would not suggest this to anyone anymore.

Overall i would say this restaurant is not worth the visit. I had the happy hour breakfast special, and dry boneless ribs with duck mayo. The only parts of this I can truly say I liked was the bacon, and the duck mayo. The bacon was perfectly cooked, juicy and chewy. The duck mayo was flavorful, and a unique taste amongst the rest of my plate. The rest of the food, however, was all either under or over seasoned. I couldn't taste any salt at all on my home fries, especially compared to things like the eggs or the dry ribs which had enough salt to make my tongue hurt a little by the end of the meal. The last point of interest in my brunch meal was the lemonade I'd received. I have never had such an awful lemonade in my life. It tasted more like I was handed a plain glass of lemon juice with ice. I could taste nothing but pure sour. I ended up having to mix in sugar and water myself to make it a passable drink, and even then I was only barely able to finish it.

Fantastic little 'diner' with a renovated modern diner look. Amazing value in the Happy Hour menu! Food was great ...you gotta give this place a try.

The vibes are there for sure! Great cozy little spot and staff were super friendly and nice. If you’re coming for brunch, would help to book a spot. We had to wait 25min for a table, which isn’t that bad for Vancouver. There wasn’t anything special about the food though. We got the pork belly benny and huevo rancheros, as well as the all day breakfast. Portions are on the smaller side, and for the price of each entree it wasn’t worth it… But, vibes are there and the atmosphere and staff are awesome!

Pretty poor experience. we heard about this place from locals. We called ahead on a Sunday, heard it wasn't too busy, so we headed down with our toddler and baby. Turned out it was a 25 min wait. No matter! we new it was brunch Sunday so we waitedThe catering to the kids was good enough. They had high chair and crayons with A printout of paw patrol. The kids menu is pretty lame (5 selections) but whatever, they weren't fussed. The reason for the bad review is the unbelievable wait time for our food. And when it arrived it was cold.the Benny served with 'Greens' was literally a side of one piece of lettuce. We get the brunch scene is a big deal, but I guess we kind of expected some sort of wow factor for the exorbitant price (100$ for two adults and two children. No alcohol), or at least hot food.Try someplace else imo
