Falafel King Mediterranean Food

Leaving my previous comments below. This guy has been serving deliciously cooked Shawarma for years. Glad I went back Had a great shawarma plate w/rice, taboukeh, hummus & pita. I prefer their tahini over the “garlic sauce” that many places offer. And keep yer damn fries out of my wrap! There’s a new place up the street that just opened and is the new novelty but I’d still go to The King first(provided they’re open). Sorry, no pictures.

I’m there at 7:25 and was ready to order. Guy say to go only. I asked when they closed. 8:00. Not interested in standing outside eating a wrap in 4 degree weather. Says here you close at 8:30. Sorry, never again unless I’m desperate and it’s before the news hour.

(Manor and morals) Of the owner
He was very friendly and sweet in answering my questions regarding his food and whether it is 100% halal or not.
I truly appreciate it because usually people get offended when you ask them this question.

This family-owned business is a real find! The food is flavorful, with tender meat and amazing homemade salad. The owners are super nice and friendly. Highly recommend!

You want to walk the area and look for something new, you go in and ask the owner what he recommends about the place, to receive a blunt answer and without wanting to sell his place, to be honest, only he and his wife were there eating as if they were customers (already When he finished, the man went behind the counter and the lady was still sitting). Following this his response was "if you want veggie, veggie, if you want meat, meat". When looking for a place to sit, the only place was next to his wife and she stopped, annoyed or uncomfortable, when she saw that we wanted to sit nearby. It is worth mentioning that there was not much space even though the place was empty. It was a rather strange and discouraging experience to return to this place.

I visited this place again after they recently reopened. I got a falafel platter and asked if I could have some rice with it, and he readily agreed. I was the only customer when I visited, and the guy who seemed like the owner explained what was on the platter as he assembled it, which was sweet. I was also lucky enough to get some fresh falafel, and they tasted nice. The portion was quite large, more than I could finish at once since I wasn't that hungry, but it still made me keep eating long after I felt full. The falafel was a bit salty though, which made me very thirsty afterward, and I ended up drinking a lot of water haha

Hair alert! Two bites into the chicken plate and pulled out long black hair from both bites. Threw away the plate after that.
