Dimsum’s were traditionally Chinese Style. I went before 11:00 am so that I received a discount. I enjoyed the Dimsum dishes very much. If you are of Chinese orient, I recommend you to try the 蓮蓉包,護角! 下場!

The dim sum at Floata Seafood Restaurant-Chinatown , I found a bit
greasy , a bit too much oil
The restaurant has been around in a long, long time
They use to have cart I don't think they have anymore
I don't think the dim sum restaurants have cart service

A bit pricey but soooo good. The fried pork buns and tendons were really tasty. Hadnt had those like that in years. Meat balls were very tender and juicy

The restaurant is spacious and parking is ample. Dim sum was mostly on par with other places in town. The only negative was a huge rat ran across the dining space during our meal!

SUPER EXPENSIVE !!!!
PAID $75 for only 6 dishes...wow !
We order dimsum seafood (shrimps). I was very disappointed because the shrimps were undercooked, white instead of pink, oh! and very chewie. I returned one dish, hoping that they would get the hint to cook them a bit more, but they didn't.
Also, they don't have enough employees, so be prepared to spend more seating time. I won't be coming back here unless they steam more their dishes and put their prices down, by the way, this is the most expensive dimsum I have eaten. What a disappointment ?

We had a great dim sum experience here. I was surprised it was so empty at 11am on a Saturday morning. The food was on par with other dim sum restaurants. Favorites were the rice roll with Chinese donut and the custard bun. Ample free parking in the parkade; do not buy a ticket, just register your vehicle with the restaurant for two hours of free parking.

The foods are authentic traditional cantonese dishes, very tasty. We were so happy to find this place at the Chinatown.

This place is very spacious, often used for a banquet or an event. I like it that I don’t need to wait to get in or seated cramped. Parking is plenty and paid for.
Their dimsum is quite consistent in both quality and portion size. Our family favorite includes siumai, beef tripe, and deep fried chive/ prawn dampling.

This old restaurant has seen better times but the food and service are both first rate. All the dishes are well prepared, good portions and tastes very good.

We love this place. It helps that the staff know us by name as we have been regulars for years.
The dim sum is typically very fresh. Service typical of a large Chinese restaurant but that works out well as we tend to spend time there with friends.
Dietary restrictions: With caution you can be gluten free. Just remind them not to automatically put soya sauce on dim sum

Was a little reserved when we first walked in because it was sparse with people but glad we stayed. The food and service was excellent. Great dim sum offerings and the scallop and prawn dish was fantastic. The gentleman who waited on us was very attentive and suggested the squid and hot chili oil. He was spot on as it was great. Our only regret was we couldn’t take our leftovers because our hotel fridge wasn’t big enough.

Floata’s Dimsum fares are fresh, flavourful without being too greasy nor salty. The portions are large, selection is plentiful, higher quality than other Dimsum places while price remains reasonable. Place is clean, service is attentive but not fussy.
