I genuinely wanted to like this place but it was kind of a let down. It’s definitely overhyped. I would lower down your expectations.

The cashier really overhyped the cardamom bun to me and recommended that we get it. But it was just..dry and flavorless. The photo they advertised for their Mediterranean bowl looked big and hearty but my plate was literally 80% greens and the tiniest amount of chickpeas buried underneath. For an $18 bowl and $7 bun, we left very disappointed.

FYI - if you are looking to do laptop work on a weekend, they cap your time. 1 outlet available in the store.

I understand and respect the love you guys have for sourdough, so you do not have slice service
but I am really bad at cutting sourdough myself ...
Everytime I went home this is what happened... uneven cut and lots of crumbs
But - I still keep coming back because🥹
Sourdough is amazing !
Chocolate Cookie is actually the best !!!
All drinks and soup are always the best ✨

I’ve been back multiple times hoping this local spot will change my mind but every time im here i leave disappointed. Genuinely TERRIBLE and cold service every single time no matter who is serving you. The coffee is below average but the branola and gallete is amazing. not worth feeling like an inconvenience for trying to support a local business though.

Cool place, I bet the bread is pretty spectacular based on the pizza I had.

Incredible flavor in the crust, a couple nitpicks I have are the crust is let down a little by the texture and it was mostly uncut in the middle. If you can get the crust a little more crispy with a deeper color on the outside then it'd be a top pizza in all of Vancouver.

The hibiscus lemonade was very tasty as well, the perfect balance of sweet and acidity.

Winter patio had metal seating and staff refused blankets — uncomfortable and unsafe in freezing temperatures.

Quick Coffee & Carb Fix at Flourist 🥐☕
Popped into Flourist on Commercial and it’s easily a 5-star vibe. Honestly, if you’re looking for a spot that takes their grain seriously but keeps the atmosphere relaxed, this is it.

Here's why I think it’s the spot:
• The Pastries: I enjoyed a savory galette (see the bite for proof of their quality), and I must say, the lamination was absolutely superb. It was super flaky, golden, and obviously crafted with high-quality flour.
• The Coffee: It was well-balanced and just what I needed to give my day a great start.
• The Space: Bright, airy, and filled with a wonderful aroma that makes you feel right at home. It perfectly balances the charm of a traditional flour mill with the comfort of a cozy neighborhood hangout.

Pro tip: Be sure to pick up a loaf of their fresh bread before you go — it’s truly the real deal!

Yummy baked goods (cardamom bun is my fav so far) and coffee as well. Mild sweetness to their beans (not astringent) which I enjoyed

Delicious bread and a very unique hummus toast—the lemon zest on top was a great touch. Great coffee and a warm, welcoming atmosphere

Place is busy and looks clean. I came here because I heard they are great for pizza dough and flour for making pizzas. But the service was cold and horrible. Just asking for advice on making pizza seemed like a hassle for the workers. And felt like they expected a tip... I purchased flour and pizza start to go.
