Their baked goods are so overpriced. We’ve been here a few times and unfortunately haven’t enjoyed any of the food items. Coffee and atmosphere is good though.

UPDATE: I've been here a few dozen times over the years, and have to say, most times I'm disappointed... The bread is overbaked, undersized, dull, the coffee watered down, the service often surly. The set up at the cash- where you can barely see any of the bread and only a few of the semi-decent but pricey baked goods, then everyone is hidden behind coffee machines and posts. I feel like I'm at a bank teller.... Also, how is this a flour milling place, and never once have I seen flour being milled...? Maybe it's too loud? In any event, it's strange that dusty empty room is always there, taunting!Good things: savoury items, salads, etc., usually tasty, the space is nice to be in (the reason I return is the lack of alternative spaces like this!), and I love the cookbooks to peruse.---original review: Delicious baked goods, nice space and people. Sourdough loaf great value, possibly the best loaf in East Van.

Best oatmeal raisin cookie in town!!Now that their strathcona location is closed, I need to drive out here to grab those cookies!! (Well worth it tho)They also have mouthwatering selection of baked goods. My favorites are savoury ones such as potato galette and cheesy brioche.Their coffee is ok but not really my favorite.

Super cute and cozy bakery and cafe! The baristas are always very kind and friendly and the service is great! The coffee is lovely and food is delicious and made with quality ingredients! I use their flour all the time to bake bread and it's always a hit! :)

Absolutely love the bread here. There aren’t many places in Vancouver you can get artisanal loaf with flour ground on site. Of course I always have a cheeky croissant or cookie when I’m in as well.A definite weekly must for me, keep up the good work!

They had the wrong soup posted on the label display, and gave us a different soup we weren’t expecting. Unfortunately we couldn’t eat the one they brought and when we brought it to their attention that it was incorrect, the barista (2 stars) huffed and puffed because I was disturbing her coffee making to address the problem. Then when I asked to refund the soup, she huffed and puffed some more when she was at the cash register.Another lady named Tina (5 stars) took over and was pleasant and helpful.But if you’re serving customers, it wouldn’t hurt to be approachable and friendly when the problem is not a customers fault.Nonetheless the other woman was kind and helpful to issue a refund on a GC or cash/card.
