Amazing flavours, thoughtful all-vegan recipes, and exceptional service. In addition to everything being plant-based, there was no issue also having everything in the 5-course taster made Gluten Free (my wife has Celiac and was able to enjoy the whole meal!)
Horrible customer service. Rude owner. This place is closed most of the week, and I don't think it will be long before it's closed permanently. Go somewhere else for Vegan food. It deserves 0 stars, but I can't go lower than 2 on Happy Cow because it's a Vegan restaurant.
Came here on a Saturday night to try the 8-course meal. Did not disappoint! Folke is located out of the city-center. I made reservations but it was only about 30% occupied but didn't want to run the risk of not getting in. Of course the pricing here is for the experience, but I found it well worth it. They were able to accommodate a few food requests like allergens, etc. which was great. I can't recall everything but I enjoyed almost everything. The desert is the one thing I partly didn't enjoy. It was some kind of chocolate mouse but the top half and bottom half had different textures/tastes. The top was divine while the bottom was grainy, thick, and gelatinous. Not taking a star off for it. The overall vibe was intimate and welcoming while the service was prompt and courteous. And a decent playlist for the night I was there.
We really enjoyed our meal, which included an inventive Chickpea Tofu, crispy Hannah Brook Greens, amazingly tender Tapioca Dumplings, and hearty Maltagliati, as well as a Rhubarb Matcha Cake and Strawberry Shortcake. Flavors well all gentle and delicate, in a soothing kind of way. The ambiance is special but still casual, with friendly servers and knowledgeable chefs that introduce each meal. Well worth it. We had the 5 course menu. And the dumplings. Taste below than average and extremely pricy. I can't believe we had a potatoe tater under a fancy name! The dessert was a glorified carrot cake and we had a portion to share for 2? Do not recommend. I can't believe they had a Michelin recommendation.
We had the eight course tasting menu; everything was delicious and colourful. The menu is totally vegan and mostly gluten-free. The menu explores many different types of cuisines, which is really fun. The staff are also really friendly and good about handling allergies.
Incredible food, lovely staff and great concept. Plus, service is included in the price (which we weren’t informed about until the end!). All in all a fantastic experience and we will definitely return. My only critique would be that the interior could do with updating..!
The asparagus tonight was phenomenal! A positive combination of potatoes and mustard seed and finished with the mushroom. REALLY GOOD! Thanks all for a wonderful evening.
Came in for mother's day and it was excellent! Service was wonderful! The food was amazing. We will absolutely be back!
There were some children running around the patio and the restaurant and the servers handled it so well. I overheard them asking very politely to ask the children to stay close to the table..
Very rude staff, badly managed. For the price they charged, their staff are not up to standard. They are way too far from fine dining, except their price is way up high, and you don't get the same quality for food and service. There is no dress code for their staff, one server were wearing a pair of crocs like she just came out from her bed. Another one wore a tank top and hippy dress like she just came out a pot camp. Overall, horrible experience, should not have gone here. Food is awful. Most dishes are semi raw, feel like chewing on grasses.
I HOPE You HAVE a CCTV and you can REVIEW IT on your own. My children were walking out to the book store nearby, NO ONE was running. I am glad that other customers can view all these comments that you left on the internet to see how you are actually criticizing young children. Poor you have no kindness towards young kids. And young kids should never come to your restaurant!

Went here to celebrate a special occasion and tried a few dishes. Over all it was a terrible experience - I am really shocked at how bad the food and ambience were. The only 2 things that were good were the tiny dessert they gave and the bread. A lot of the food was weird mixed and tasted weird.
Not worth going. Overrated. Food is not that great! Staff are not professional.
Food taste average, not worth the price. Service is horrible. Servers are arrogant and with an attitude, like, she is the boss. Lot of restrictions on how we can order food, and the order how they serve food. Which is okay, we can be flexible and understand the chef's rule if the food is great. But the food is not that great.
What a delicious meal and lovely experience we had at Folke! The 5-course meal was totally fulfilling, even though each plate was small. The all-vegan plates were full of flavours, while each ingredient clearly stood out and nothing was superfluous. The menu showed great care, skill, and inventiveness. The dessert was truly delightful. Congratulations to the chef! We hope to be back soon, and we'll definitely be recommending you to our friends. Note: We didn't consume any alcohol, so our price per person is lower than other reviews here. One small comment: Even though we're both children of the 80's, the chosen soundtrack of 80's Top 40 quickly veered on the cheesy side and clashed with the overall atmosphere. I would suggest to look more into the latin jazz / classical jazz repertoire. Cheers!
For the 8 course menu, there were interesting dishes - some more than others. We enjoyed the pasta, sourdough bread and mushrooms, and the green spring onion dish.
