I had lunch here recently. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, lots of dark wood panelling and an old-school, heavy bar.

The service was so good! The servers here are very experienced and did everything right.

Okay, but we're really here for the food, right? Chef/Owner Herve brings his traditional French family recipes and they are so, so good! Everything here is made with attention to detail, and traditional French techniques.

I especially loved the Fried Goat Cheese Salad, and the Bouillabaisse. The thing about this kind of food, is that it appears simple, but it's not. The technique that goes into making it is masterful. The french fries might be the best in the city, and the Chocolate Mousse....

Chef Herve also supports lots of local businesses, sourcing his produce locally, even growing some of it himself.

Vegetarian options: They do have vegetarian options.

If you're looking for an authentic French dining experience, this restaurant is a must-visit! I indulged in the classic mussels and fries, and it was absolutely amazing. The highlight of my visit, however, was the exceptional customer service. Our server, a friendly Colombian gentleman, truly enhanced the experience for me as a Spanish speaker. He took the time to explain the menu in detail, making everything feel even more special. I highly recommend checking it out!

Thanks for ruining our anniversary, Hervé Martin!
BE AWARE OF FOOD POISONING at this restaurant, PLEASE!

We arrived on time for our reservation on Saturday, October 19, but there was confusion when they couldn’t find our name on the list. We had to wait while they figured out a table for us.
Appetiser; Ordered Garlic Prawns which was overly cooked like chewing rubber! My partner got Charcuterie and he found it underwhelming.
Our main course were the worst we have ever tried! My partner got Duck Confit Cassoulet; heavily seasoned and VERY salty. I have never seen him wasting food; he barely could touch it!
I got Bouillabaisse; it tasted very old, fish tasted wrong and the potatoes fell apart since they were re-heated multiple times. I could tell they made that dish at least 2-3 days before and wasn't fresh! THAT IS INSULTING! People are not idiots, OK??
The waiter never came to check up on us how the food was and he acted surprised when he realized we were not happy with the food! Got the owner's attention after we paid for the carp we were served and he was: "Oh, you could have let us know"....So what that you made us wait again and try to make a FRESH meal as you were supposed to at the beginning??????

It was our fault choosing French Table while we didn't have good experience previous times we tried food there. It was around Valentine's Day and we ordered Beef Wellington which came in suggy rather puff pastry and the steak lacked a good crusty sear. Definitely wasn't a good quality cut as they claimed it was.
I have more stories about our bad experiences to tell about this so called "high end restaurant". The only reason we kept coming back was that my Partner is French and he was hoping one day he could impress me with French Cooking. I am happy he admitted it is not worth it anymore as he also never enjoyed food there. Wish we didn't waste +$$$$ at this restaurant.
Happy to go back to 5 Sails, Gotham, Le Crocodile and etc and pay two, three times the price but not suffer from stomach ache and throwing up until next morning!

I hope this feedback helps others make an informed decision. You all deserve a better quality food considering how much you are going to pay!

I lived in Paris for 5 years, this restaurant is so far the only one makes me feel like real french table, except I personally don’t like the glass table top lol! Patron and waiter are from France, waiter he said he’s from Paris as well. We had a very fun conversations. Love this place and I will come back

Comfort ambience. Garden fresh vegetables, fab presentation of all dishes, great selection of wines. And, quiet! No hard surfaces where you have to shout because of a din. Highly recommended.

Atmosphere feels European, food is decent but alright for the price you pay. Tried the beef Wellington and salmon. The steak was tender but made me wonder if it was fillet or not. Salmon had crispy skin but on the smaller side.

Best crepe Suzette! Real orange slices, amazing sauce, and the velvety texture of crepe just melts — or maybe that’s the ice cream ;)

The seafood linguini is my go-to, and nice touch with the bread and butter.

Go support them soon before end of September, Herve is retiring! Been a terrific run, going back to the L’Hermitage on Robson St!

Real high quality French cuisine in this neck of the woods.

A fondue 48$ it’s absolutely exaggerated. So bad. A scam of a place. Don't go.

The food was super normal and on top of that they charged us 48 dollars per person for fondeu, we ordered 4, 196 dollars for two fondeus with bread, salad and potatoes. Not recommended.
