I never really thought of fresh slice when I ordered pizza. Now there are my go to pizza shop. They know me to see me, and know my order. Talented people here making pizza, and everybody is genuine smiles and up beat atmosphere. I am speaking of the Marine and Cambie location in particular. You can not beat unlimited toppings. I

Ordered a TooGoodToGo package on Friday at 5:31PM with three left in stock, arrived at the store shortly after 7PM to pick up my order for dinner. I was told to swipe the order to collect to then be told that they "sold out" of the TooGoodToGo packages, and was asked to come back the next day.
I understand that there are logistical issues with TooGoodToGo, but shouldn't the venue honour the deal given that it was 7PM and they had a display case full of pizza? Why is the customer inconvenienced to come back the next day, spend another 20 minutes commuting, ruining their dinner and next day plans if the issue could be easily resolved? I voiced these issues to the staff that this ruined my dinner plans, and there was no empathy shown. As they forced me to swipe to pickup, there were also no avenues for me to get a refund, and I was forced to come back the next day.
I was also promised that if I came back the next day, I would be given "extra slices" to compensate for this inconvenience, and I reluctantly agreed as they didn't provide any other solution. As expected, the order was exactly the same size as any other TooGoodToGo order. Out of principle, this is not how businesses should conduct themselves, tricking their customers to resolve their own shortsighted issues that could be easily resolved. Very inconsiderate and reflects extremely poorly on the business practices at this specific Freshslice.
