Bar tender purposefully presses the max tip button before handing you the card machine. I was alone and bought a single beer at 8pm on a monday. Do not recommend you go here until they stop the fellow stealing/forcing tips.

I moved to UBC in January 2025. First time, I went there with my colleague. Since then, it has become my favorite spot to go with my colleagues, students, and guests. It's a perfect place for me to go for lunch, dinner, or drinks.

Went to order drinks at the bar at 10:28, and the bartender let us know that it was last call, and they would stop serving at 10:30. So we quickly ordered our drinks, and while the bartender made them, another person behind the bar rang up our order and put it in the card machine. Before handing us the machine for payment, they quickly selected a tip % option and passed me the machine. I was unaware that this tip was added on, until my friend who was next to me informed me afterwards. This is such an unethical business practice as it is not transparent as to what the total charge was. As well, as the service received from the employee who charged us was not pleasant or friendly. They were very dismissive and rude of our questions regarding the drink order. I understand that it is closing, and that the employees would like to end their shift. However, there were two minutes left the drinks literally took 30 seconds to make.
I felt as though we were a hinderance to the staffs. If this were the case, they should have cut off even earlier and not served us at all, instead of begrudgingly serving us the drinks yet still scamming us with an additional tip.

The place has a cozy atmosphere, making it a great spot to spend time with friends. I ordered the Caesar wrap, which had a perfect portion size. It was healthy, flavorful, and delicious, with a choice of salad or fries on the side.

Went here for the 4 nations finals and I don’t think they’ve ever hosted a sporting event before. They had 3 TVs going but they were all out of sync but they had the volume on for all 3, so I heard the national anthem with a 3 way offbeat harmony. Not coming back here again, go somewhere else for sports games. I’m going to see if they have space at browns during the next intermission.

Decent bar to go to with your coworkers after a week in the lab. Drinks aren't too expensive (at least compared to anywhere else nearby), food is kinda mid but it's sufficient. The highlight for me is the $6 weekly special cocktail/"bartenders libation," it's sometimes weird but it's always creative and fun if you're interested in cocktails. At the end of last semester there started being live DJs from the ubc dj club, on those nights the atmosphere was 5/5. The Foosball table in the back is free, the arcade machines are free too but half the buttons don't work. The couches in the middle look like a good idea, but they're actually too far apart and it makes it hard to talk.

Loved my experience at the Gallery. Ordered burgers with salads and my friends also ordered some chicken wraps and fries. Everything was pretty tasty and well seasoned. Beers were fantastic. Prices a little bit on the high side, especially for a restaurant inside campus, but it’s definitely worth trying.

Pretty good place for a nice meal for ubc students. There wasn’t necessarily any service, but nonetheless the food was pretty good. Definitely would go here for a drink it I was a ubc student

Great spot for drinks and apps! Loved the Bellini and nachos. The manager Liam was so kind. Will definitely be back :)

They automatically charge a tip without telling their customers (I didn't notice any signage). This makes their prices misleading. Also, since I wasn't with a group and I ordered at the register auto-grat does not seem reasonable. I will happily change my review and return as a customer when they are more forthcoming about their prices.

The dining room is spacious and has lots of natural light making it a good spot for lunch. During lunchtime there was no loud music playing so I could have a conversation with a friend. You order food and drinks at the bar, but I got both pretty quickly. I had a red sangria which seemed reasonably good. I had a citrus and beet salad which was also good but not very filling if you're expecting it to be a meal. The service from the staff serving the food and clearing the table seemed reasonably good.
