Amazing cozy cafe with fantastic cakes and light food options including sandwiches and korean food. Definitely try all the different cake flavors! The owner makes the most delicious cakes that have perfect sweetness and they have so many different options that we will definitely be back to try every flavor. The owners are also really nice and caring. The 5 star review on google maps speaks for itself.

There were so many good-looking cakes so I bought individual cake slices for my family's birthday instead of a whole one. Wow! We've tried many popular dessert places in Metro Vancouver and have to say theirs was one of the top places. The sweet potato and earl gray cake were especially delicious, great balance of sweetness, creamy texture and not too heavy!! In addition, the owners/chef were very nice and welcoming. I think this place will be now our go-to for treats and special occasion cakes. Totally worth it to travel from Surrey. Thank you so much!!The cakes I bought today were so pretty and delicious. My family doesn't like desserts that much, but everyone said it was delicious and it's the first time they've had so much cake in one sitting. Thank you for your kind help!

This place is a gem! Its a cozy cafe with Korean cakes, coffee, and light meals (sandwiches and rice bowls). I got a tuna panini, a slice of sweet potato cake, and a yuzu soda. I was really there for the dessert, but the panini alone would have made it worth the visit. You can choose your bread, and the cranberry sourdough I chose was so good, and the tuna salad had a nice tangy flavour. And the cake was wonderful! The cake wasn’t too sweet and sweet potato flavour was very nice, and the cake and frosting were both nice and fluffy. I like Asian-style cakes like this because they feel just as indulgent as American cakes but are actually pretty light on the stomach. The yuzu soda was also cool - it had small pieces of yuzu pulp(?) and was very juicy! The cafe is run by a sweet older couple who seem genuinely enthusiastic about sharing Korean flavours with everyone. Eating here was a refreshingly wholesome experience!

A heavenly hole in the wall, Gateau de Henry is run by two absolutely charming people. The cake is superb, not too sweet, and beautiful too. The little shop gives major mom and pop vibes in the best way. My new go too.

This is our favourite neighbourhood lunch place. Delicious sandwiches and rice bowl combos. The pastries are on another level. His cakes are little works of art. I recently ordered a Black Forest cake for a friend’s birthday. It was covered with fresh fruit and tiny meringue cookies. Beautiful and delicious and reasonably priced. Stop in for coffee and cake or lunch!

Gateau de Henry saved the day for my friend’s birthday dinner. They were able to make up a beautiful, personalized and delicious 7”blueberry cheesecake for me within 3 hours of calling. My friend was ecstatic with the cake and it comfortably fed 9 people.

Super low key spot with very high quality cakes. The couple running the shop are so nice and friendly. This place obviously has their regulars always come by. I noticed everyone coming in while I was there all seem to know the couple well. My tuna sandwich, which was super well made for such a simple sandwich, little grilled and packed with tuna and nice marbled cheese comes with a little sample cake. I've also had the bugolgi rice bowl and it's very tasty and quick. Great value under $15. The cakes I've had a few, and recently got a big tiramisu made for a party, it was a showstopper. Everyone loved it. Ordered the cake the day before and it was ready when promised. Very under the radar, high quality products. Must try!

This place is amazing! I tried two different cakes: sweet potato & red velvet and they were both delicious. Their cakes are slightly less sweet than the ones from other bakeries. Perfect for people who find desserts too sweet in general!
