Recently I read this great article in the Monte Christo magazine about Gem Chocolates and this week while shopping in Kerrisdale, my daughter and I decided to go and have a look. We just made it before closing time . Absolutely delicious chocolates, great presentation and very friendly staff. We will definitely come back soon.

We came here to buy a chocolate gift box to try something other than Purdy’s and were delightfully surprised. This place is a hidden gem (no pun intended)! The owners have a great story and are involved with the community. Kerrisdale is fortunate to have its own chocolatier producing some of Canada’s most exquisite and innovative handmade creations.

Definitely a gem of a chocolate shop 😉 The staff here are really friendly and helpful. I bought my grandmother a box of chocolates for Christmas with all the alcoholic flavours and she loved it, especially the Grand Marnier one! My favourite is the lavender heart shaped chocolate! Will definitely be back next time I have guests over or need to get a quick gift for someone 💎

I don’t even love chocolate and this place will make you fall in love with artisan, handcrafted, delicate and amazing chocolates with creative flavours. This is high quality and incredible. A totally different experience than Purdy’s and worth it. My fave is the fig and ganache! And a dairy free mango sorbetto for me too. Highly recommend!
