Coffee and staff here are wonderful. Install an air conditioning. Good lord it’s inhumane the temperature in here at 930am.
Cozy place, great location. Unfortunately I will no longer be a regular of this shop as the drip coffee is EXTREMELY watered down. We let the barista know and she offered to charge us for an added shot of espresso… we chose to throw away the drip coffees and buy two Americanos. Ended up paying $16 in total just to leave with two, decent12oz coffees.
Hot chocolate with ginger THE BEST: my go-to drink whenever it’s cold! They also got a wide selection of tea drinks so if you’re coming down with a cold or you just need a sip of something for the serene vibes, they got you ;)
Cozy place to study at or chat with a friend! Highly recommend
Lovely and cute-looking café. I really liked the location—it’s on a cozy corner and looks inviting from the outside. I finally decided to go in and try their breakfast.
I ordered the all-day breakfast wrap ($11.00) and a small latte ($5.00). My husband got a medium-sized latte ($5.50). To be honest, I might have had high expectations because of the café’s beautiful design. But unfortunately, the quality didn’t match the price.
The lattes were watery, and the taste was surprisingly inconsistent between sizes—the medium one tasted much more bitter than the small. As for the wrap… I’m not sure it was really worth $11.
I’m sorry to say this, but I don’t think I’ll become a regular customer here.
The atmosphere is a fantastic as a workplace environment. There are sockets at many table. Glad to see friendly and welcoming staff here. Definitely recommend it
Service is so fast & the matcha latte was really good. No latte art but honestly didn’t matter. Japanese girl working by herself on a Sunday was so so friendly!! Lots of outlets for working as well. Didn’t come before because of low rating but definitely will be back again. Great spot!
Not the best coffee… Tasted pretty burnt IMO
Very cute cafe! Yummy coffee and they have Gluten free & Dairy free treats which is so hard to find in a cafe. Usually it’s one or the other. Staff was super nice! :) Thank you for your lovely service.

I went to this cafe almost every week over a year. Most of the staff were friendly, except one lady with glasses. On Dec 10th around 5:50pm, I went to this cafe again and ordered a decaf latte as usual. But the lady with glasses did not greet me at all, not to mention a smile. I felt I was not welcomed.
I ordered the decaf latte and she made it for me. Usually they put the drink in a to-go cup without a lid. But this time she was about to put a lid on. I told her I didn’t need the lid, then she said “ just letting you know we are closing at 6pm”. Then I realised it was only 9 minutes left before they closed. However they usually close at 7pm every day. If I knew they closed earlier than normal, I might not even walk in, as I would prefer to stay. So I asked if it’s just today they close earlier or not. Then lady replied “yes just today”, apparently IMPATIENT, without looking at me, which pissed me off. So I said “ you should have let me know earlier “. I was a regular customer and I usually stayed in this cafe for around 30-60 minutes. I was sure she knew this as she was a regular staff too. But she replied “ there is a sign on the door”. When I walked out, I checked the sign on the door. It was so SMALL and outside was already so DARK. How can she expect every customer to see the tiny sign??????
Last but not least, the decaf latte she made tasted awful compared to previous drinks.

HORRIBLE SERVICE!! DON'T SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS!!

With the expressed promise that I would purchase a coffee after using their bathroom, they did not allow me to use it. I felt zero compassion from the people who worked there.

I’m writing this 5-star review in defence of Gene! What the heck is wrong with the angry people. The atmosphere is fantastic; what a cool space in a flatiron building corner. The crowd is varied; there’s literally two ladies either praying over each other or doing reiki right now - just casually. Now one is massaging the other, rock on. It’s bright in here despite the rain. And the coffee is just fine! It’s a darker roast than what the other places serve, but it’s great if you like a more robust kick. The service was friendly, too. This is a great spot!
