This café has been a real discovery for me. The coffee is incredibly delicious, the food is excellent, and the atmosphere is calm, cozy, and truly special — a rare combination. I’m always happy to come here even from the other side of the city and would definitely recommend it to anyone who appreciates great taste and comfort!
I felt welcomed the moment I entered, from the friendliness of the barista, to the warm aura of the cafe. I love the rustic wood decor and vintage vinyls on the wall. I especially love how generous and comfy the seating is (big tables) with huge windows that fill it with light, while the jazz and warm lights keep it cozy. There's even a piano in the back! The crema on my espresso was notably delightful, especially for a decaf, and the matcha was high quality. Perhaps one...
First time visiting under new ownership of East Cafe! I'm a regular at the Nanaimo location so I was super excited to check this spot out. I absolutely loved the whole vibe of the space; bright, spacious, large tables and various seating options! I had an iced matcha as well as a croissant, which were both delicious. I got a decaf latte for the road and the decaf was one of the best I've had! The owner, Josh, is so personable and friendly, and the staff are also lovely....
