Golden Ocean Seafood Restaurant

I visited Golden Ocean in a Sat morning just when they started the day of business. Food is average for vegetarian dishes, maybe it's too early for the day. Rice rolls are nice.

Good old but classic film sum. Dim sum and service good here and you get pretty much what you pay for.

Parking is slim pickings in the middle of meal trying but slightly better and after is still possible to give a spot.

They used to be an Internet dead zone but now there's Telus access points nearby.

Overall a good experience here.

Seem like this place has been recently renovated to include upgraded brand new chairs all around as well as enhanced lighting. The big round tables the carpet the decor otherwise they’re all very traditional Chinese dim sum type restaurant and fact this is where the place shines. Dim sum on the weekend is exceedingly popular. They still have people bringing trays of food around as well as carts, which is a very traditional way to do dim sum and a great experience if you’ve never had it before. You really get to see the food as they show it to you if you even if you don’t know the name of it in English or Chinese. Food is always fresh. The taste are authentic. We’ve been coming here for over 20 years and will probably come for 20 more.

Here for food, very, very good, one of the best dimsum I've had in town. It's your typical Asian restaurant, with carts and people willing to take your order or order from one of the cart ladies. Such a great taste, would definitely come back

One of the oldest dim sum places in Vancouver. Our go-to for dim sum! Love the braised shrimp with tofu or with eggplant. Fried taro is one of the best! 🥺

We had dinner on weekday so it was not crowded. Dishes we really enjoyed included
- stir fry beef with kai lan
- beef mapo tofu
- sweet and sour pork

Extremely BAD Attitude from the guy who works in the front desk (especially the phone operator)! Unfortunately you lose a usual guest coz your suck HongKong style service and attitude. This guy is unbelievable!
