Dim sum is very authentic. Better go early or make reservation in advance. Hope they can upgrade the washroom in the near future.

"Bad Choice" Restaurant for Us; first time trying for dinner & we were hoping to return as we enjoy authentic Cantonese cuisine. However the experience was unacceptable & unprofessional:
1. They only pay attention to their "regular customers."
2. The portions of dishes were much smaller for Us vs. their "regular customers."
3. Their seating is too closely/tight & inappropriate (as mentioned by a few others); too many large tables of 10x, One cannot sit comfortably.
4. One meat dish, pork chop, was so over tenderized due to poor quality of meat, meat was disintegrating. Other meat dish, sweet & sour pork, was very fatty & overly drenched in the sauce to cover up the poor quality of the meat. We had Peking duck, several pieces were burnt & tough to chew.
5. They rushed Us, asking if we wanted take out boxes when we weren't finished our meals yet.
6. The Restaurant tried to overcharge Us 50% more on the bill ($70+)--we caught it obviously & they corrected the amount. We will never return.
**If You are a new customer, please check your bill very carefully (other customers have experienced being overcharged.)

I recommend reserving 2-3 days in advance if you wish to have dim sum brunch here on the weekend.

My favourites: stir fried green beans with minced meat, beef tendon, deep fried green scallion pancake, shu mai, fried stuffed eggplant

Wasn’t too impressed by: chicken feet, egg tart, rice noodles with beef, pai gwat fan, or hum sui kok

Overall service was very courteous, not quite rushing but efficient in removing empty dishes, no complaints since it was understandably a very busy Saturday lunch session (every table was full by 12pm, walk-ins had to be turned away at the door)

They no longer sell steamed rice rolls (I wanted to get the one stuffed with fried donut or shrimp). Seems the menu has shrunk a bit, probably to make the kitchen run more efficiently + reduce waste / costs.

My family like to dine here so I’ll probably be back but there are equally good if not better dim sum places around Vancouver.

It's been over ten years since we last visited Good Choice in Fraser. Back in the day, dim sum dishes were about $4-6. Now in Jul 2024, prices are about Good Choice $8 a dish.

The interior isn't very big and they could use some more smaller tables.

The beef tripe in special sauce ($8.75) was tender and they were right... it was a very special sauce. The chiu chow dumplings ($7.75) were also good.

You don't need to worry too much about the radish cake in spicy xo sauce ($11.75) because it's not noticeably spicy.

The steamed pork shrimp and veggie dumpling ($7.75) were nicely crimped and the steamed beef balls ($8.75) had a nice texture and flavor.

Overall, good dim sum here.

Everything is perfect in this place, the food is very delicious and finely prepared, they serve Jazmin tea in a beautifully organized rounded table, we end up taking the rest to go, we just couldn't let it behind. My favourite was the tendon and the fried squid.
