A truly unacceptable experience. We called earlier in the day to ask for the opening time which we were told was 6pm. We arrived around 20 minutes after opening to find the storefront closed. We called and were told they were ten minutes away.We sat for two hours without being served even one quarter of our order, a few plates of meat and bean curd was all we were served. Very unorganized and ill prepared unfortunately. We were told our soup base was prepared incorrectly, there was no flavour. After waiting for over ninety minutes for food to appear, we left with empty stomachs. The new owners are friendly and kind but it cannot excuse the poorly run business, we would have been happier to have been turned away due to ill preparation than to waste hard earned money.

One of the best AYCE hot pot in Vancouver, they are under new management but I'm happy they still open, slow but good service and nice broth

One of my favorite places in Van city. Too bad they retired already.

Awesome spot for all-you-can-eat Chinese hotpot. Family-owned and operated. Friendly service, and great food. Too bad they're retiring this Thursday. ?

When we arrived at 7:00, we were the only customers there. Although the food was not bad, hence the two stars, the service they provided ruined our dining experience and made us not wanting to go back. The waitress will guilt trip you when you try to ask for another order sheet by saying that "more food is coming". After asking the second time, it felt like the restaurant was purposely delaying our order so that we would limit our food intake in a AYCE setting. It took us three times before we finally got a second order sheet. Especially since we were the only customers in the restaurant, it become glaringly obvious that they were hoping that we were not going to order a second round. Personally, I do not think its a good business strategy to ensure that new customers come back to dine again at their establishment especially if they are advertising AYCE.

I don't know the name of the girl but she was wow. if you get your food with lots of smile and promptly, what more would a person want. Thank you for giving us such an excellent service.

Looking for a hot pot place that isn't 35 dollar a person? This place is very reasonably priced. The selection is decent for what you pay for. The family who owns this place are super nice. I hope the pandemic don't shut them down. It would suck to see this place go.

A nice restaurant close to Trout Lake. The service was pleasant. Food was brought out in increments as it may fill up the table with plates. Price was reasonable!

Very good quality and great service in a modest and humble restaurant!

For a mom and pop shop, it was pretty good. The broth was delicious and the food was fresh. Again, since there's only 3 people working you have to be patience and wait. Food came out slowly, which is fine because again it's a mom and pop shop. I liked how there were so many options to pick from. However, this wouldn't be my top spot I would go for hot pot. This place might be good if you want hot pot for 1.

This is a really small mom and pop shop. I'm all for supporting mom and pop shops but this place was a bit pricier then most AYCE hot pot places. Parking is all street parking. We went on a Sunday and there wasn't a problem finding parking. We walked in and we were seated and we were left with a menu. It was probably 5 minutes before someone came to table and took our menus. You order yourself by marking off what you want. But keep in mind to look behind some of the things you want to order because they charge additional prices. We order 1/2 pot of tomato and spicy and sour soup. It was okay. The soup wasn't too salty. We ordered a bunch of stuff like beef, lamb, tofu skin, quail eggs, broccoli, calamari, instant noodles, etc. quality was ok. For the price I paid, it wasn't worth it for me. We paid $20.98 per person to have hot pot. Then we were charge an additional charge for soup then a few things we were charged extra. Overall I wouldn't go again. It was ok and lots of locals look like they go but I'd pass.
