A great little gem that has a much more varied and tasty menu than what appears through the very welcoming picture windows and glass pastry shelf. Well worth a try from their Liege waffles to their continental breakfast and lunch menu

I came to Vancouver from Toronto and had breakfast at Grand Mama Cafe â and wowđ€©

You can really tell they pay attention to every detail. Highly recommend this gem for anyone looking for a perfect breakfast experience!

This cozy little spot in my neighborhood has always been my go-to when Iâm not in the mood to prep lunch. Earlier this month after returning from a trip, I was surprised to learn that the place had changed ownership. Today, I finally went back, eager to see if my favorite Chef salad (truly one of a kind) was still on the menu. I had already told myself that if they no longer served it, I might stop coming altogether. To my delight, the salad was exactly the same as before, fresh, flavorful, and just as I remembered it. Change is part of life, but itâs nice when some favorites stay the same!

Took my friend there on Thursday last week of the CafĂ©âs very first soft opening day to the public. It is now under Eemaâs Cafe and with new ownership and management. What a great concept to be a training ground for special need adults who can be working here and build up their skills in the serving industry! We need more places like this!
My friend and I enjoyed our time there for more than a couple hours, a great place to catch up. The staffs are very friendly, the food is delicious and nicely presented. For lunch, we ordered a Club Sandwich and a Smoke Salmon Crazy Feta Sandwich. They both came with a good portion of gourmet garden salad each, what a surprise! We also had a large latte and an Americano. Later we also ordered almond croissant, a salted caramel cookie, and then a lemon cake to go. They were all so good! Itâs definitely going to be my place to be when meeting with the my friends!

New owners July 2025 have revamped this quaint cafe into an inspiring opportunity for adults with special needs to increase their independence and skills. We had the montreal smoked beef sandwich and club sandwich which both came with a surprise delicious light salad. Location is easy to access via public transit. The cafe's abundance of plants and greenery compliments the natural lighting from the front windows.

I recently discovered this hidden gem of a cafĂ© and I couldnât be more impressed! From the moment I walked in, the warm, inviting atmosphere set the perfect tone for a relaxed meal. Every dish we tried was a feast for the eyes and the palate.
Their smoked salmon eggs Benedict is an absolute masterpiece: perfectly poached eggs with silky, runny yolks atop fluffy waffles, generous slices of delicate cured salmon, creamy avocado, and a light drizzle of tangy hollandaise. The accompanying micro-green and baby arugula salad, dotted with cherry tomatoes and crunchy puffed grains, provided a delightful fresh contrast.
Next up was the artisan sandwichâthick, multi-grain bread pressed just right, loaded with creamy egg salad, crisp lettuce, juicy tomato, and a hint of olive oil. It was comfort food elevated to gourmet status. And letâs not forget the vibrant tomato bisque: velvety smooth, rich in flavor, and finished with a swirl of olive oil and herbed garnish, served alongside perfectly toasted sourdough.
Service was friendly and attentive without ever feeling intrusive. The presentation of each plate was thoughtfully composed, making every bite feel like a special occasion. Whether youâre stopping by for brunch, lunch, or a leisurely coffee, this cafĂ© delivers on quality, taste, and hospitality. Highly recommendedâthis place deserves every one of its five stars!

Had brunch at Grandmama CafĂ© â the croissant and omelet were both delicious, and the oat milk latte was smooth and creamy. The croissant was surprisingly huge (in a good way)! Definitely a great spot for a cozy and satisfying brunch. đđ„âïž
The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Definitely coming back.

I'd expect some real gourmet stuff for these prices, but the lava cake was pretty dry and bland.

Fantastic food. Presentation was beautiful. My salmon and poached egg had truffle oil smear on top. Best orange and ginger scone right out of the oven. Must do!
Perfect food and service! And a good place to meet friends!
Prices are not fantastic, but everything else is. Quite enjoyed my experience here and I highly recommend it.
My family loves going to Grandmamaâs! They always treat us and our daughter very well and go above and beyond to make sure weâre comfortable. My daughter loves their mango lassi, and the other drinks and food are good too. I find the price is right for what you get. I love the community/family vibe.
Nice spacious cafe. Prices are quite high especially for how small the portions are. The waffles and chicken is now $18.50 and it's only one small (hard) waffle with some chicken bites and a small salad. Service was slow. 25 minutes for our 2 meals and there was only one other table with people at it who already had food.
