Extremely awful place customer service is in below zero.
My husband and I went there for nice dinner dinner. We ordered a pizza thinking it will be vegan or vegetarian at least. When the order came we saw some pepperoni and meat on it.
Upon asking server, he didn’t listen what we were trying to say, straight up “BUT YOU ORDERED THIS” we were like before eating we wanna make sure it is vegan or vegetarian at least!
Again he mentioned one even one, twice!!!! Then, when we try to order something vegetarian instead of helping us with order or menu, he goes, “YOU COSTED ME A PIZZA” before I take order you got pay for Meat pizza! Apparently, which we ordered by mistake thinking this place is Vegan as previous restaurant used to be or on google it still shows as “Vegan” place.
We were like we will pay you full amount for meat pizza with no tip! But at least first help us!
Overall, the staff was extremely rude and we found it to be racist too.

These guys go above and beyond to make sure everything is great! I absolutely recommend this place, you won't be disappointed!!

The pizza pies were amazing! It was definitely the most authentic pizza ive had since visiting Italy many years ago. The fact it was vegan made it all that much better. The cashew based vegan cheese was phenomenal.

I ordered a pizza through Uber Eats that listed plant-based sausage. After eating one slice, I realized it was not plant-based sausage but regular pepperoni and regular ham. I've been vegan for 9 years and expect that if a restaurant is vegetarian/vegan, they take that seriously. I called the restaurant to let them know what had happened, and while apologetic, they didn't offer a solution or follow up the next day. I have ordered from Pizzeria grano before and enjoyed, but I am unlikely to order again.

This place use to be great, but has gone downhill. Super expensive for crappy pizza and not even done right.

We placed an order at 5 pm for pick up at 6:15pm. We ordered 2 vegans and 1 vegetarian all gluten free.

When we arrived, at 6:15pm, they forgot about our order and they were not even transparent or honest about it. You can see them hustling to make our pizzas. I get it mistakes happen. What’s frustrating is that the pizzas came to $60 + and we had to pay a tip on top when placing the order online, otherwise you can’t place the order. Should have stopped there and looked someplace else.. my mistake! Then the pizzas were not ready by the time we came to pick up?

Not only that, they rushed the pizzas, they were not gluten free ( luckily I am not celiac can you imagine? ) I’m just gluten intolerant, but still that’s hard on my stomach. One pizza was super spicy that was not edible at all. This pizza is suppose to be a little spicy but the chilli flakes were not well spread out and you’d get a huge chunk of the chilli flake on one bite.. my friend couldn’t even finish her slice because of how spicy it was. The pizzas were all so sloppy and falling apart, not in the best way. They were just not good at all, they were also super cold to the touch and the taste was just so off!

I understand if an order is forgotten, mistakes happen. Just let the customer know, be super transparent and apologize about it, take your time making the order correctly and make up for your mistake instead of rushing the order and pretending your didn’t forget about it. How can you allow to charge a huge fee plus a must pay tip for badly made food is beyond me!

Definitely not coming back here!

We love this little place. We come all the way from Portland, OR just to get their vegan tiramisu. The entire menu is great. The service and staff are great. It is in a cute place and neighborhood right on Main street.

We travel to Vancouver a couple times a year and The Grano is the first place we stop after our long drive there.

The name of the store has changed, but they still serve the Grano menu. Same owners, same food, diff name.

Two thumbs up and a huge recommend.

As at late April 2024, the front door is locked, therefore you can pick up your pizza in the back alley.

While the atmosphere was a bit cramped, the service was great and the experience was surely pleasant. The food, if I could, I would rate 6 stars. Some of the best pizza my wife and I have ever had. Will be ordering again.

Vegetarian options: Many meat alternatives or vegetable based pizzas. Chef and crew openly ready to accommodate intolerances and dietary restrictions.

Unreal. The best plant based pizza I have ever had, and by a long shot. I didn’t realize they are a sister restaurant to Via tevere, my favourite pizza place in Vancouver. By extension, these folks are members of the Neapolitan pizza society, it’s the real deal! Our server Katie was

The food was so amazing here! Big portions and super filling Italian comfort food. We got the meatballs, garlic knots, eggplant parmesan and the bee sting pizza. They were all delicious, the pizza was definitely spicy coming from someone who loves spicy food. Definitely want to go back and try more that they have to offer!
