Hands down one of the coolest spots I've found in Vancouver and I've lived here for over 5 years. The vibes are great, cool crowd, friendly staff and the food is amazing. My only feedback is that I wish for the price of the food, that the portion would be bigger (they were pretty small for the amount you pay for) but otherwise, really great place!

This tiny, romantic spot works hard to stay intimate for a reason. Huge props to the team for staying calm when two unbooked groups of 6+ showed up, demanded to push tables in a space that can't fit it, then complained about the very fair rules. The entitlement was next-level.
Pro tip: places with 20 seats aren't hiding a secret party room in the back. Perfect little date night gem. Come as a couple or small group and you'll love it. Come as a surprise mob... maybe try Moxies.

My friends and I loved it here!! We had such a great time, the vibes were amazing and the service was so great. Our group of three came in with no reservation on a busy night and the server was able to make room for us at the bar! The drinks were fabulous. The staff were so friendly and kind. They made the experience even better. I would highly recommend Grapes and Soda for a cozy fun night out!

Beautiful place and atmosphere but the food was very basic and overpriced, with barely anything to eat. The portions were ridiculously small, and honestly, you can do much better, I'm a tiny lady that doesn't eat a lot and I got hungry there. On top of that, paying 17 CAD for a glass of mediocre Pinot Noir. Overall, it was a very disappointing.

The drinks here are absolutely outstanding — genuinely some of the best flavours I’ve tried, and the place itself is cosy, intimate, and really charming. Quality-wise, they’ve nailed it.
But honestly, the experience was completely ruined by the staff. From the moment we walked in, the attitude was downright dreadful. One female server and another staff member — not even sure what his actual role was, he just said he was “there to help” and happened to be tall — were shockingly rude.
I still can’t wrap my head around the fact that a server actually said, “If you want to lick the bottom of your plate, you can.” Sorry, what? Who on earth says that to a customer? Absolutely unacceptable.
On top of that, they don’t take reservations in advance, and if your group is more than four people, you’re expected to pay an extra 20% — and then put up with their attitude on top of it. The whole thing felt disrespectful and unnecessarily hostile.
As brilliant as the drinks and the vibes were, those two staff members single-handedly put me off. I won’t be coming back, and that’s a real shame

Grapes & Soda is by far one of my favorite places to spend an evening in the city. The service is always top notch, I feel cared for, and the attention to detail is always there without feeling pretentious.
Besides my love and adoration for the G&S team, my reason for my review is because I witnessed something that truly shocked me last night. As I was enjoying a drink at the bar, a group of at least 5 men began to become irate with the host, who was informing them about their walk-in policy. Unhappy with the information they received, they proceeded to physically shove the host out of the way and demand service even after being told there would not be space to accommodate them.
I believe it is important to bring praise to the G&S staff who handled the situation with as much tact as possible, to a group who very clearly misunderstood that their self-imposed will was not how G&S is run.
I will absolutely continue to support an incredible local space, especially knowing these so-called alpha males will be taking their business elsewhere in the future.
Embarrassed that this is a local community bar. They wouldn’t let 6 of us sit together because groups above 4 have to be booked in advance. The place was at 30% capacity at most and it was pouring rain on a Monday. So we split and 2 of us sat together, then they made the other 4 somewhere else because of this 6 person policy just to get in after walking here in the rain… what a joke. We even agreed to pay the 20% mandatory tip. We were sat at opposite ends of the bar and when we walked over to talk we got the dirtiest looks from the hostess, then told to go back to our seats. I haven’t had this level of poor treatment at a local bar. Very disappointing because the drinks and atmosphere were nice.

I went them with a friend and we had the mic charcuterie and cheese. We have been having bad stomach for 3 days now. In addition to that, the server was very rude and almost asked us to leave after 2 hours saying the table is reserved while when we got there nobody said anything about reservations. Will never go again and would not recommend it to anybody
