This spot has been on my list for a long while and I was lucky to try it out with some friends! The drinks were good but not mind-blowing? I was a little surprised. We got a few snacks but none of the cooked food so I can't speak to that. It does have an intimate vibe with little tea lights and dim lighting so it's a good spot if you're looking for something like that!

Yum! I’ve only had good experiences here. The chewy fried Sunchokes are to die for. The Sichuan duck leg is one of the best dishes I’ve had in months. I love the radicchio that it comes with. The pickles on this plate were on another level. As a pickle lover these were perfection. Beef tongue has a nice texture, I thought the green radish was cooked nicely. I can’t forget, the kushi oysters were incredible! So plump and meaty10\10

Great cocktails. Very tasty shareable menu. Cool atmosphere. Only complaint is that we were still hungry after sharing 2 small and 2 big plates.... We wanted more of that delicious food.

Grapes and soda absolutely ripped as it always does. Great food great drinks. Lauren was the best - provided thoughtful recommendations for food and played a big part in our lovely date night. She even played it cool and professional when my card declined while paying the bill. Really classy move. To be clear I have money I just forgot to pay off my credit card. It happens. I tell friends, family and strangers alike to check out grapes n soda as it is truly one of the best rooms in Vancouver. All in all, a truly sublime dining experience for me and my wife. We didn't argue even once over the course of the meal. Absolute masterclass. We will be back!

Visited Grapes & Soda this evening for Valentine’s Day. Made a reservation was seated immediately. We started with gin cocktails which were delicious, followed by their feature starter Oysters and again; delicious.Unfortunately when we then ordered our next course, sourdough & sun chokes and more drinks, we were forgotten about for 20 minutes, along with the table next to us who had empty beverages for 20 minutes.Server was apologetic but at that point we left feeling underwhelmed despite delicious drinks and food.

Had some of the specials, the pork leg was my favorite, but everything we had was delicious. Other standouts were the sunchokes, cheese plate, and pappardelle. The service was great and staff were very friendly.

Completely agree with all the critiques about the very rushed service. Hopefully the owner/managment takes it to heart. Cute place, good cocktails and small but well done menu. Probably the most rushed of any resto I’ve ever eaten at. Was told we had our table for 1.5 hours. I’ve never had a seating for under 2 hours, but okay. Then at the 30 minute mark she would interrupt every 5-10 minutes for an update on how much time we had left like a ticking time bomb. I’ve eaten at way better places that weren’t nearly as rushed. I get they need to turn over tables but most places have a two hour turn over and aren’t as in your face about it. Can’t recommend when there are frankly better options with far better service. If you’re going to alienate your customers, don’t be surprised when they stop coming.

I love this place for date night for girls night for friends night and the blue bottled soda is fabulous. We came on Wednesday and enjoyed it so much came back on Friday night and the only glitch this time was from staff member was rather brisk, if not rude, about the fact that our 6 o'clock reservation that we should be leaving at 7:30 who knew ?? I suppose they could've told us before we sat down and in fact the party wasn't coming until 8 o'clock so tinge perfectly lovely evening with some bad energy? Please take this as a coaching opportunity, and I did share it with our most wonderful Asian waitress (she with the long hair and glasses.) so it's pretty easy to identify who the other candidate is coaching PS it's not like we just drank water. We ordered wine, cocktails, and a couple of dishes Bravo to the chef on the duck leg.!!

I used to love this place, but it has changed. The service wasn't great, they were constantly interrupting us and breathing down our neck counting down until our 2 hours was up. So sad, this place used to be great.

I went to Grape & Soda with my partner, We booked 4 weeks in advance and we were very excited. We arrived and we were fairly rushed to the table by the host which was a bit weird but whatever, we arrived on time at 7pm and our waiter was really nice to start. We ordered a bottle of wine and food, it took 15/20 minutes for the food to come, we sat and enjoyed ourselves for a further 20 minutes and thought the night was great. Unfortunately once our food came we were informed by our server that we only had 40 minutes until the next reservation came and we had to finish our wine and food quickly. We were notified every 5/10 minutes that we needed to finish up quickly. I am not usually someone who complains but it was reallly disappointing that such a lovely restaurant/bar never communicated that we only had 1.5 hours to eat and drink on our reservation and just how the waiter pressured us consistently to finish our wine and food as quickly as we could, after 1 hour and 10 minutes the bill was dropped on our table without us asking for it and we were rushed out the door. It was uncomfortable and we just felt really pressured and rushed the whole time we were there. I think it’s a lovely establishment but the time pressure is awful and some of the staff may need some training on how to look after people in a polite manner. I feel this place still has the potential to be a lovely establishment, it just needs a few tweaks here and there.
