Solid little place. The location is hard to find but it is worth it. I keep coming back.

Tacos were SO dry. No sauce or salsa on any of my 6 tacos. Not even a lime in the package. The pork was the worst one it wasn’t marinated or seasoned. I’m actually shocked they’re comfortable giving this to customers. The toppings were almost nonexistent. Was basically just dry plain meat on a shell. I’ve had more flavorful tacos from chipotle and Taco Bell. I’d be embarrassed if i owned this restaurant.

Yall should make a note that tacos don’t include any sauce or salsa so customers know to order. Honestly we shouldn’t have to if it’s included in item descriptions. I also can’t recall a single taco place in the city that doesn’t give free salsa and lime in the package. Guess it’s a way for you guys to get a few extra bucks, but at the cost of losing a customer. I live a couple blocks away but i will not be back, gastown has so many wonderful flavorful taco spots. No need to waste money on cheap, subpar food.

Reply: i actually have been here in person but awhile back. Tacos were much better than what i had for delivery. I use food apps a fair bit- i do not support businesses who give out subpar food for delivery but have better food in the restaurant. Seems to be what’s happening here. I will say that the gringo on davie is a bit better when it comes to food delivery. I think the owner or manager of this place should order some food anonymously in the app so they can see for themselves and hopefully implement more quality control.

The waitress Friday night made me feel embarrassed and poor because I only wanted one taco. I will never come again.

No photos because we devoured the food too fast but wow what a find! Great prices, delicious food, and the gentleman working the restaurant at the time was so friendly. We had the Wilbur Bowl and a bundle of 6 tacos - everything was delicious! Great for dinner or a late night snack. Will definitely be back 🌮🌮

Hidden away in the back alley of Gastown. You’ll find this little gem. It’s tiny like 15 people in this place only. So it’s not hard to get service. The drinks were great. The atmosphere was on point and the food was delicious. I mean, I don’t know why this place is getting so many bad reviews. It’s not a Michelin restaurant. It’s a Mexican restaurant in a back alley. It has atmosphere this is what it’s supposed to be like.

This place has excellent and friendly service, easy substitutions to accommodate dietary restrictions, slammin’ food, and fun 80s kid friendly-vibes. 10/10 no notes! Don’t skip the house-made hot sauces.

Went to Gringo’s with some friends, food smelt good when we walked in. The staff and service was great. We sat at a table where we could see the cook making our food. That’s when the whole experience turned my stomach. The cook had his phone on the cutting board. He was touching his phone then making our tacos with his hands. No gloves or tongs just his bare hands touching the taco ingredients and tortillas and then back to touching his phone. Moving his phone to the other side of the cutting board after checking messages? I was shocked, as it was an open kitchen and so disgusting to watch. This is not food safe and I can’t get over how gross it was. I would NOT recommend this place no matter how nice the serving staff was. Before I left I did mention to our server how turned off I was by watching the cook handle his phone while working. 🤢
