Gringos is awesome, the food is delicious, the drinks are fun and I have never had a negative experience with them. I came in to get some happy hour Tacos after going to the emergency room at st Paul's, and accidentally left some important paperwork there. When I called to see if they still had it they offered to bring it to me at my house (I was struggling to get around due to a serious injury). Now THATS customer service. Also they play old shows and movies on the TV, sometimes real deep cuts too, always fun to see.

Just ordered takeaway at pride, I was told the vegan bowl is “huge” and enough for 2 people - the only reason I ordered and waited so long.
IT WAS NOT EVEN ENOUGH FOR ONE PERSON - a complete joke! Super disappointing, I’m left hungry and I feel totally ripped off!!! I DO not recommend to order this dish (vegan jackfruit bowl) and I feel betrayed by staff so I don’t recommend the restaurant either.
TLDR; not worth the price at all!!!!

We were in Vancouver for the week and unfortunately we stopped on our way out of town to grab some waffles and our car was broken into and some prized possessions stolen. We stopped at the hardware store across the street to tape up our windows and two Gringo staff came over to offer us their sympathy and lunch on the house.
The food was great and even more than that the very human gesture of seeing my family at a low point and offering a hand was so moving. I know they both told me their names, and I lost them both in the adrenaline of the moment but I’m so grateful. Thank you Gringo! We will definitely come by when we are back in town.

Cute little Mexican place in Davie street. Love all the pink that’s going on with the flamingo lights. Pretty great music and vibe is more on the casual side. Everyone got the taco ($4.2/each) combinations,which got served with two different hot sauce. I’d say they taste pretty average to me, not enough variety of toppings and a but dry if you don’t use the sauce. Beat thing was definitely the churros we got for dessert ($9), really crunchy with generous cinnamon sugar and dulce de leche dipping sauce. Service was good and they kindly helped us take some pictures. Overall, I don’t regret going but would not go out of my way to come back.

We’ve been to Gringo at another location before and decided to try out this one. We ordered three tacos (the CBC and Wilbur are still my favorites), Angus dillas, and churros. The food was just as good as we remembered!! So flavorful and satisfying. Definitely a fun spot to revisit!

I recently visited Gringo, and absolutely loved the experience! I tried the fish burrito and the beef bowl—both were packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. The tacos were okay, not the highlight, but still decent. The overall vibe and quality of food make it a place I’d definitely visit again. Highly recommend giving it a try if you’re into Mexican cuisine!
