I visited Guilt & Co on a Tuesday night to watch a friend’s band. I arrived about half an hour before their first set and there were plenty of seats available, but it filled up once the music got started. I sat at the bar at first but then saw some people I knew and asked to move to their table, and the staff were cool with me closing my tab at the bar and moving, and they made sure that the food I ordered was delivered to my new table.
Even though they’re first and foremost a music venue, they have a great menu of drinks and food, comparable to what you’d see at a gastropub. There’s only 6 beers on tap that cover different styles, but more available in bottles/cans, and a long wine and cocktail list. I had a Strange Fellows Blackmail stout to drink, which hit the spot. I ordered the vegan tacos, filled with birria-seasoned shredded mushrooms, and they were very messy but delicious!! The filling was super flavourful and their housemade corn tortillas were great. I really wanted to try dessert but they were out of everything except churros (which don’t really do anything for me) when I tried to order.
Very cool vibe. I think it would be easy to see the band from most seats in the place and it was easy to hear them even with lots of conversation happening, but it wasn’t excessively loud, but conversations were happening so it wasn’t excessively loud. I’m definitely biased because it was my friend playing but I thought the music was great. They charge $6 per set that you stay for, which is super reasonable.

Such a cool place with incredible vibes! I love coming here for the live music shows—especially when Los Duendes and Coco Jafro are playing. The energy they bring really takes the experience to the next level. The atmosphere here is fantastic, making it the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy good company. And the food? Absolutely delicious! It's consistently tasty and really complements the overall vibe. I’d definitely recommend checking this place out; it’s always a good time!

You know I’ve been coming here for a few years. It’s been a couple since I last came but the vibe and atmosphere has always been great. Live music great cocktails and good food.
There has always been a cover charge for the band usually between 5-10$ per person.
This time I was told $6 added to the bill.
I get the bill for 2 people and there is a $36 charge. There was no explanation that it was per 45 minute period and set.
I explain this and I was told I’d get at least one set removed complimentary for the miscommunication.
I get $6 not even a full set for 2 people.
As much as I’ve loved this place the proper communication is key and I kinda feel ripped off in the sense that I am paying more than what I was told and expected.
I would come back… maybe but this really left a bad after taste in my mouth. It’s disappointing really. I’ve never paid this much for live entertainment here before.

Although I appreciate you taking the time to respond this was the issue, the hostess did not explain properly. I was under the understanding that it was a single charge per person not per 45 minute increment. We ordered food and drinks, it took over 45 minutes to receive the food, drinks and consume them. Even if I wanted to only stay for one set it was impossible, but again it was miscommunicated. If I had been properly informed I wouldn’t be the least bit upset or written a lower review. The fact is I was ill-informed, it was understood that I was and acknowledged by server and management and even told I’d get at least one set complimentary due to the mix up. Instead it was only half the second set reimbursed. This is the business practice I have the problem with. Covid was 4 years ago, businesses need to stop using it as an excuse for poor service.
Also don’t imply I’m too poor and should leave at the top of my budget instead of multiple sets when waiting on food, it’s not the cost it’s the principle of the matter. Not only that I wasn’t even there for 3 full sets. You really make me not want to come back here if this is the way you conduct your business.

Great food! Great show!
We saw Charles Johnson, he played an awesome set. My wife had the burrata salad and said it was one for the best salads she ever had. I had tacos, they were delicious. Fantastic show and food at a reasonable price. Great value!

This is my first time here with friends, and the second time I brought my family. We enjoyed the jazz and drinks. The vibe is great, and I felt a lot of positive energy. The customers looked like they were having a great time, and some were even dancing. I will definitely visit again. Thanks!
