I just came back from a trip to Japan a month ago and the food here took me back to Japan. The katsu curry was comforting for a cold and rainy Vancouver afternoon and the items in the vegan bento were delicious. Also tried the yuzu ginger ale, super refreshing. Highly recommend this place!

$60 tasting menu was a treat. Every course was well prepared, brought out in a timely manner, and delicious. Service was fantastic - friendly and attentive. We'll definitely be back!

This is my favourite restaurant in Vancouver so far, I always bring my friends there and don't afraid they will be unsatisfied. Highly recommend

one of my favourite izakayas in vancouver! not sure why they ask what the occasion is though - i went for my birthday and it was just a standard dinner, no extras at the end. still delicious.

Google says they close at 10pm but at 9.30pm fences for access were closed. Soooo lame.

Really interesting place, had the $40 lunch with 6 or 7 different unique items. Every course was excellent and very tasty! A little hard to find, located upstairs... but look for it, worth a try!

We had the $40.00 tasting menu. All items were well prepared, but perhaps too heavy on the deep fried items. We ended up ordering an okra dish as well as a shishito pepper dish after the tasting menu was finished. I would probably have rated 5 stars if our dinner conversation had not been nearly impossible due to two (apparently) drunk, socially irresponsible louts 30 feet away from our table drowning out any attempt to converse between ourselves. It's worth mentioning that Haraheri has a decent happy hour 5 -6 pm weekdays and 11:30 - 6 pm Sat. and Sun. We shall return.

Amazing food and service. Their nine course set Izakaya dinner menu is absolutely delicious and excellent value. When the weather is decent they have a beautiful outdoor patio that you can choose. Their lunches are excellent also.

We enjoy coming here for lunch. Not sure why it’s not as busy as other places, maybe because it’s a bit hidden from the street level….

Food is tasty, consistent and well priced for being in Downtown. friendly staff and clean interior. When the weather is nice, they have plenty of patio space.

I went for the Tuna Tataki but with the 40$ group option, only got 2 little pieces. So disappointing. Everything else was very good.

I had a party of 18, which included young children. The staff and ownership of Haraheri were incredible! Many of us had the Tasting Menu - which was a huge hit for my guests. Cannot speak highly enough of my experience with the team here.

Thank you Haraheri!

A beautiful calm place in a busy city.
Food was absolutely amazing and staff san was lovely. But we saw a mouse running across the restaurant and had to run out of there.
Otherwise, would’ve been five stars 🥹

My two favorite dishes were the Vegetable Fries Moriawase and the Harami. The fried cauliflower was so good, I especially liked the seasoning on top. The steak was tender and delicious. The gochujang wasn't spicy, and helped elevate the steaks flavor. I personally would have liked the steak to be closer to a medium rare, but everyone else at our table didn't share the same sentiment. The salad was nice and refreshing. I loved the sesame dressing. The Tori Karaage and Ebi Mayo were tender and perfectly cooked. I quite liked that the shrimp weren't over cooked. The ice cream was unique and I would have it again. It was a good combination of sweet with a hint of savory. The sake was noticeable, but not overpowering. Their staff have a firm 2 hour seating limit. Although the restaurant wasn't fully packed, we were reminded that our 2 hour limit was up. All in all I found the meal to be delicious and super filling well worth the $40 for a 9 course meal. I would love to try their Haraheri Course and happy hour menu.

We did a happy hour and absolutely loved it! We ordered a pitcher of sangria, brussel sprouts, cauliflower, chicken karagge, tuna tataki, ebi mayo and the seared pickled mackerel. Everything was so delicious especially the mackerel! おいしいです! We will be back to try the rest of the menu and more cocktails! Such great value. Thank you for the lovely service too. Highly recommend! It was quiet when we went there and it would probably be more lively in the evenings with friends!

Wanted to try this roof bar place. For the price - it can’t be beat. The Happy Hour menu is superb. I will crave this until next time….
