Had a decent experience here. We had a table reserved in the dining room but was asked to sit at the more traditional style seating because there was a large party in the middle of the restaurant and was loud in that area.

The food seemed liked it was prepared with care and attention to quality.

Staff are pretty friendly and attentive.

We hosted a reception for 40 people on the rooftop patio and it was really amazing. The service and food were great. A little oasis in the middle of the city. Yasuaki Tanaka was very accommodating.

I didn’t know what exactly to expect since my cousin suggested this place the day of, but I knew it would be good! I typically prefer salmon but the Tuna Tataki was very delicious. We also enjoyed the Nasu, Karaage, Beef tongue, Ebimayo, and Cajun Salmon Oshi Sushi. The beef tongue has a clean chew to it, no toughness or chewiness, it was like buttery to chew yet also the right of firmness. The karaage was very juicy. The ebimayo had a light batter coating that paired well with the mayo sauce. The cajun salmon oshi sushi was my favourite - it paired well with the savoury lime jelly and seasoned rice. The Snow White is definitely a lethal drink because it was like juice!

One of the best Japanese restaurants in Downtown Vancouver. The space is always beautiful with a great view, and the food has high quality as well!

I enjoyed the Hariheri bento box for $25. It was absolutely delicious with free refills of rice and miso soup.

Service was attentive and the space was very relaxed on a Tuesday lunch time.

Great izakaya restaurant with an amazing patio. A wide selection of delicious food (including vegetarian), solid drinks and a good variety of wine and sake.

Tried a handful of dinner dishes, and seriously considered their tasting menu. The miso glaze on the duck breast was especially good, and pairs fantastic with their sake.

Will have to return again. Haraheri is a fantastic new venue right next to the Granville strip.

This place was so good! Went with zero expectations and left with a great experience. My partner has lots of allergies and they were so good about them. The view from the patio is amazing and every dish we had was full of flavour. 10/10 !

Came here for the Izakaya course with a group of 3 and it was delicious! The timing was perfect, and the horigotatsu seating was a pleasant experience. Everyone at our table loved the Gomaae salad and the Mentaiko aglio de olio (though it was a bit greasy).

Picked this place to meet a colleague for lunch. We saw on the website that if you called in a lunch order at least 30 mins in advance, you get a 10% discount. Calling our order in was easy, and our discount was honoured on our bill. In terms of food, we both ordered the Haraheri (chicken karaage) bento box. The box is visually pleasing and comes with a great assortment of items. The chicken was juicy and crunchy. The ebi (prawn) “fries” were great. The Wagyu Hamburg steak was interesting, reminding me of a good Italian meatball that would be served on pasta. Overall the box was great and was a good size in terms of portions. Service was very friendly, and we dined near a bright window which was nice. Would come back again to try other dishes, or perhaps one of the tasting courses.
