I usually don't leave negative reviews, but I feel this experience needs to be shared. The server seemed to have a very limited understanding of English, which made communication extremely difficult. I tried to explain multiple times that the food seemed burnt, but all I got in response was "Eh?" and eventually, "Ah... do you need the bill?" It felt like there was no effort to understand or resolve the issue. I still left a tip out of courtesy, but it's...

The food here was absolutely delicious. With so many items on the menu, it was difficult to choose! Our servers were attentive and helpful. The menu has lots of kid-friendly items.The salmon & ikura don and the BBQ eel in the clay pot were big hits for the kids. Overall, we really enjoyed our dinner at Guu with Garlic and will be back again.

Based on the love of the original Guu, came try out the alternate location. Menu similar to the Thurlow menu but less exciting, still food was well prepared. Overall a fair dining experience.
