Their lunch specials are affordable and tasty. The service for lunch time on the weekday wasn’t like dinner. There’s only one staff on the dining area and she always disappears. No water refills at all until we asked for it at the very end. No big deal since the lunch was so cheap and we didn’t expect any service. Still going back for food. Recommend.

Nice environment but the service on this particular night was not good. We were there for 2 hours and after taking our initial order for food and drinks, they never came back once to ask if we wanted anything else, including more drinks. This was our second time going to this Guu and we decided it will probably be the last.

Delicious and unique menu. Great vibes with just the right amount of buzz without being too crowded. Hidden gem on the second floor with a lookout over Water St. The takoyaki was the best we’ve ever had. Yaki udon, beef bibimbap and dumplings were also delicious

Our first time here, won't be last. Everything delicious but we ordered too much. Wagyu carpaccio, Q-chan, day worth of veggies, grilled squid, smoked negitori with baguette, house udon, Sapporo, sake mojito. Favorites - Q-chan, squid, smoked negitori, udon! One of us thought noise OK, the other too loud. Good service! Great building and ambience.

I was next door and looking forward to eat at Momo Sushi but the Chinese girl so rude when I came in and greeted her in Japanese. From then on it was very rude no Wi-fi 20-minute wait place was crowded so I came here to Guu. Very friendly Wi-Fi they speak Japanese and the food is excellent. If you're in Waterfront in the old town Gaslight area go straight yo Guu.. NO NO on momo :)
