Arrived at 5, there were 4+ empty tables but they were apparently reserved. We sat outside and by the time we finished 2 of the tables were still empty!Staff needs to do a better job with table management. Other customers were also complaining about the arrangement.. Staff were all unhelpful with service and didnt turn on the heat.Food was fine, on the pricier side, $50 per person. Basic bbq nothing special

This place is pretty perfect. The food was nominal, and the staff was all really nice. Such a satisfying place to eat at, and the taiyaki is also so good, def try it.

During my recent visit to Gyukaku, I was delighted by the exceptional service provided by the staff. From the moment I entered, the staff members exhibited a warm and attentive demeanor, ensuring a pleasant dining experience throughout. The highlight of my meal was the set menu, which exclusively featured various cuts of beef for grilling. The portions of beef were notably generous, allowing meat enthusiasts to indulge in a flavorful feast. The different cuts provided a range of textures and flavors, showcasing the quality and expertise of the restaurant's selection. However, it is crucial to note that the overall taste of the beef was on the saltier side.Despite the saltiness, my overall experience at Gyukaku was positive. The exceptional service, coupled with the generous portions of beef offered in the set menu, contributed to a satisfying dining experience. If you are a beef enthusiast and appreciate Japanese-style grilled meats, Gyukaku is worth considering. Just be aware of the saltier flavors and plan accordingly to suit your taste preferences.

This was one of the best places we’ve ever been to! The food was incredible, the process of grilling our food was easy and the waitress was very helpful, the gluten free variety was huge and the service was top tier! Had no issues at all and although we ate a lot, the prices weren’t unfair at all. We’ll definitely be coming back! Thanks for everything!Dietary restrictions: Gluten friendly restaurant

Gyu-kaku is a great spot to eat with a group of about 6 or less. You get a lot of food for the prices, and get to grill it yourself! Definitely recommend bringing a friend who likes to tend to a grill, and let them cook. The only thing I don't like is when you get the electric grills. They just don't give the same heat and flavor as the gas ones. Ask for a gas grill seating for sure.

A fun Japanese BBQ experience! The advice for how you should grill your beef should be taken seriously! Sheldon looked after us and made sure it was a safe cooking experience too! We arrived for an early (quiet) dinner (5pm) and by the time we left, the place was bustling with diners! Reservations recommended! Very enjoyable.

The food is fantastic! We ordered a meat set, and it was just an endless assortment of everything!Various meats, miso soup, different appetizers, and more! The meat was superb and varied. Everything was of very high quality, super fresh, etc. Great place! I recommend booking in advance through the app, as it's hard to get in.
