My fiance and I came up to spend some time in Seattle and figured we'd make the drive into Canada. We stopped by and had lunch here (the special for 2) and it was delicious 😋 We left full and happy. The staff was extremely nice. If you ever find yourself in the area I'd recommend this place.

Utterly wonderful. We were here on our honeymoon and were the only two there for lunch, so we had the best possible view! We had the Groupon special (lobster, scallops, shrimp, salmon, and two different preparations of beef) and the value was above and beyond. I’d never heard of Usuyaki, but it was my favourite part! Neither my husband nor I had ever tried lobster, so getting to try it both in the lobster miso and from the grill, tail and claws, was really awesome. Both the chef and the host were charismatic and knowledgeable about the menu. It was a lower energy version of many teppanyaki places, which was absolutely wonderful for a special, luxurious lunch. We left stuffed and satisfied. Thank you Gyu King!

My wife and I have been coming to this restaurant with family and overseas friends for over 10 years.

Food is great, and the service has been consistently top-notch.

Most recently, I celebrated my milestone6️⃣6️⃣th🎂birthday here with close family last night.
Boss Marco was very accommodating as usual, and our Chef👨🏽‍🍳Harvey has never let us down.
Thank you, gentlemen, for a great dining experience👍🏻

I came to this restaurant to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday. They accepted me to bring small cakes and candles and kindly served them singing a happy birthday song! Their hospitality was amazing and I really can't thank you enough to Michael. He was always so kind and helped me so much to make my boyfriend’s birthday wonderful. The quality of food was great as their services. I highly recommend you visit here with your loved ones.

Very delicious lobsters, tiger prawns, scallops, tenderloin, and mixed vegetables. The fried rice is great, too!

Not worth the price. Food is bland. Quality of steak, lobster and scallop is not that great. I have diarrhoea after the meal, probably the lobster is not well cooked. Nearly no tricks and entertainment. The chefs barely chat with us. I would expect better atmosphere because of the price.

Had a great experience here with my girlfriend. I had never tried Teppanyaki before and I really enjoyed this place. The food was fresh. The service was excellent. I feel like they could work on their decor and showmanship, but besides that no issues by the end of the meal, we were both very full and satisfied thank you we will come again

Little bit sad, no more flair. We ordered the most expensive Wagyu for 2 combo. Food was well below expectation for the price. 'Wagyu' beef was tender enough but flavorless. No beef flavor leads me to believe this wasn't an authentic Wagyu despite a tender fatty cut. Save-on has better tasting Angus filets. The highlight was the over salted fried rice or maybe the plain scallops.

Everyone was friendly and polite. No service issues but not 5 star service. No hostess so we just kinda walked all the way in. Plates were cleared promptly and tea refilled without needing to ask.

The atmosphere is similar to a wonton house with flats of pop stored behind you and aquarium tanks with scallops sitting on 2x4 framed stands. The vent hoods had oil streaks running down the insides and the dark varnished wood walls looked like your mom would scold you if you touched them.

This restaurant is a true Vancouver gem. Our family has been coming here for 20+ years and always leave feeling satisfied and impressed. Marco, the chefs and servers are all top notch and know how to make a fantastic experience for each customer from start to finish. Thank you Gyu King Teppanyaki for the years of wonderful food and service!

We had a truly delightful evening celebrating my wife’s birthday with a group of ten at this wonderful location. The service and food quality were exceptional, thanks to Marco, who ensured we had an unforgettable experience. I must say, the food here surpasses many other Teppanyaki restaurants I’ve visited. While this place may not offer the flashy theatrics like flaming volcanoes or flying shrimp, it provides a more refined culinary journey. If you’re seeking a memorable dining experience with outstanding service and delicious food, this is the perfect spot!
