This is one of the best pho restaurants in Vancouver. Beef stew pho is amazing and no other pho place would simmer the beef slowly with all the flavours like you can have in this restaurant. If you are looking for an upscale fancy pho restaurant, you may go to Anh and Chi, Bonjour Vietnam Bistro, or Com Vietnamese restaurant in Richmondand would spend at least 100 dollars for two people (not including taxes and tips), but here under $30 you may have a homemade delicious pho for two people.

Ended up here by accident and very glad we did! Food was delicious, especially the beef brisket soup.

The food was not too bad, I wouldn’t say it’s good but it’s okay if you want to have a quick lunch.I'm not looking for a high-end service as it's a very casual and affordable restaurant, but they should do the basics.-No conversation AT ALL: Not a single word during 20-30 mins of stay. No greetings, no "thank you", no "enjoy your food", not even a "ok" or "yes" when I ordered my food.-Table wasn’t set up: No sauce trays and napkins on my table. Didn't even get me water/tea, so I had to ask twice (and of course he didn't even say anything) and got a glass of water only when I was almost done with my meal.-No sense of hygiene: The guy took orders from 2 tables right before me, and when he came to my table he put the menus he collected from those tables on my table (touching my chopsticks), which were obviously touched by multiple people and were not sanitized.

The house special was a really good balance of noodles and meat.I'd eat here again.

Ay carumba! Got myself a Tofu Bánh mì to-go from this downtown local vietnamese eatery, wow this was tasty and one of the best Bánh mì I have experienced in a while.A very plentiful portion of tofu and veggies within an extremely fresh tasting, soft and cloud-like Baguette.I'm pretty stoked about this place and going to come back to try their veggie Pho Chay as it seems a great vietnamese grabbing joint. They had a lot of regular customers who came in and asked for "same as usual" when taking a seat which gives me confidence this is an authentic and down to earth local-kitchen type restaurant. Little gems like this are hard to find and I think I may have just struck gold!Efficient service, ready in 5 minutes from friendly, helpful and talented staff. The restaurant is a nice, basic and clean area with a nice chilled out vibe.Support local businesses!

I can not believe the way owner treats customer. I found a bug in my pho while Im eating then I talked to owner “there is a bug” But she just said without any apology , “because of onion”At least she should have said “SORRY”I was going to understand if she apologizes.I didn’t even yelled at her.. I didn’t talk to her in a rude way.BUT she was mad at me and took my food and water, then said “JUST LEAVE MY RESTAURANT”Then she went outside and slandered me to the stranger passing by …..I couldn’t believe why I need to explain to stranger about this poor situation.HOW COME??!!!!! How could she act like that???

My Friday spot for lunch. Such a kind lady who works here, she's always so happy to see me and knows what I like.Truly an unexpected experience in this wonderful hole-in-the-wall restaurant.Top banh mi in the lower mainland, in my books ?

Unfortunately stumbled across Ha Long Bay downtown as I was craving noodle soup and decided to support local. No music, smells funky inside (old building), and minimal/no service. It’s also located in a sketchier part of town, so overall I would NOT recommend coming here.My order:Thick noodle with beef hock spicy noodle soup (I’m assuming this is their Bun Bo Hue) $11.They used regular pho noodles instead of the thick noodles. Maybe they ran out of thick noodles, but I wasn’t informed prior. The soup was mediocre, and was on the sour/tangy side even without adding the lime juice. Not spicy either. Few slices of pork hock, beef and Vietnamese ham.

Use to come here all time back in 2010-2013 and it was incredible but just came back and the portions and food was not the same quality or quantity.Very stingy on meat. Use to be a diamond but I think its lost its touch.4 pieces of meat for a whole pho brothe

This is amazing place for Vietnamese pho type food. Their soup broth is clear and really good, content and portion just right and much better than expected, when observe closely, can see the small and clear "oil rings" on surface of broth, as proof to that the soup has been served with rich flavor. I went there at dinner hour, no lineup, no long waiting, service was friendly and feel welcomed. Overall, a very nice place for just eat.
