Food tastes good but was very thirsty after. VIP room has karaoke so it was noisy in the dining area. Server came to our table a lot to clean up dishes (not really refilling our water though). So felt like they wanted us to leave

It was my father's 90th birthday lunch and the service was top notch. They even allowed me to bring in a durian flavoured birthday cake - if you know, you know. Thanks Hai Chi ‘Em!

We had squid with fish sauce, garlic chicken and pho! It was so so good, highly recommended

I love this place. You can really taste the different spices in their plates. Very neat place to eat. They ran out of crispy chicken wings in fish sauce, however, the server recommended the crispy garlic butter chicken wings, which was honestly amazing! I’m glad he recommended this dish. It was unique and 10/10 must-try.

We went to HaiChiEm for my mom's birthday. It was a busy night so we had to flag down the servers multiple times. We wanted to order a couple of the recommended dishes but they were out of Lemongrass pork and the shrimp fritters even though our dinner was at 6pm. One of the server was very nice and gave us dessert on the house for my mom, which made the experience better. The food tasted great so we'll definitely go back.

I’ve been craving Bún Bò Huế for a while, and honestly, I haven’t found any Vietnamese spot here that tastes like back home. My friend kept hyping up this place so I had to check it out. And as a Viet, I gotta say this spot’s Bún Bò Huế is the closest I’ve had to the real deal in Vietnam. The broth was super flavorful, not bland like other places. Portions were huge too, I was stuffed after finishing it. Their salad rolls were solid as well. Definitely worth it!

I had a long trip from Seattle and have been waiting to try this restaurant and it was absolutely perfect! Came here for dinner, the line was a little busy, but totally worth it. The portions here are huge, me and my boyfriend only ordered 1 appetizer and 2 main dishes but couldn't finish. The crispy garlic butter wings really surprised me. Super crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with that garlicky buttery flavor. Every bite had the perfect mix of crisp and savory, definitely a must try. Can’t wait to come back again.

Delicious food and modern decor - not your typical mom and pop Viet restaurant. We had the Bun Bo Hue and it was aromatic, flavourful and expertly cooked - the best BBH that I've tasted in Vancouver! We also had the grill platter with beef wrapped in betel leaves, pork brochette, spring rolls vermicelli and greens - lovely dance of flavours and textures. Service was competent.

The food and service was great 👍. I love the pomelo salad the most, everything is so fresh. I usually don't order rice in the restaurant because I am not a rice person, but the crab rice must try. We ordered 2 haha. We also ordered 2 of the deep fried squids 🐙 👍👍👍

What are you guys smoking, I want some.. the viet food is flavorful. All our 5 dishes was awesome. Yes the portions were little small but filling. This is our first really good vietnamese food in a long, long time. My taste buds tingles.. no msg. Well at least for our 5 dishes.. oh btw we came last call, they didn't rushed us out the door. When we finished ordering we were gonna pay before we eat so they can close there till but they said its OK no rush.....

We were looking for a new Vietnamese restaurant to try and decided on Hai Chi Em.

We shared 4 items amongst 5 people and they were all hits 🔥.
We got the fried squid with nuoc mam sauce, beef salad, beef crystal noodles, and crab fried rice with egg.

My family’s favourite was the beef crystal noodles which my mom described as authentic flavours of Vietnam. I personally liked the fried squid the most but enjoyed everything!

This restaurant is definitely worth trying!
My family and I will be back to try more menu items❤️

We checked this place out on a weekday because we saw it on tiktok. The restaurant is clean and modern, so it's comfortable to sit in. However, the food was not as good as foodie influencers say on their pages. We got the chicken wings (6.5/10), duck noodle (6/10) and BBH (5/10). I wouldn't come back as there are so many better spots with way better BBH and other flavourful food nearby, and the price is quite high for the quality received. Staff were nice.
