Thrilled to have finally discovered an authentic Vietnamese restaurant that serves all my favorite dishes! The atmosphere was fantastic, and the service was impeccable. My top picks were the Canh Chua (sweet and sour soup) and Com Bo Luc Lac (stir-fried tenderloin diced beef). I highly recommend their avocado smoothie - perfectly sweet and refreshingly cool on a hot summer day!

I have been looking for authentic home-cooked Vietnamese dishes for a while and am so happy to know they literally have every classic or special dish you could crave here. The hot and sour soup hotpot is the best I’ve had and the braised Vietnamese pork and fish brought me down memory lane! Everything is so flavorful and fresh, and you can tell it’s because of the ingredients and not msg. I am also a huge fan of their crispy Bánh xèo and was enamored by all the fresh herbs they had like fish mint. Their portions are perfect for family style sharing or to dine in for one. I’m also craving their avocado smoothie again which I haven’t had since I’ve been to Saigon.

Bonus points for the vibrant ambiance and comfy seating...and not to mention kind & efficient staff! They are absolute pros here.

Ordered the banh xeo and bun rieu cha ca. Banh xeo is a large dish and very tasty although not a lot of shrimp and pork inside so mostly tasting the crepe.

Bun rieu cha ca was very flavourful and filling. I would come back for this noodle soup.

Restaurant itself is spacious and great for those with kids as there was a kids menu, high chairs, change tables, and the washroom was clean.

If you would like to venture out of your comfort zone, I would recommend something else that is highly underrated.

When you come here order the viet spicy hotpot (thai style) for two. It's amazing!!! This is my usual now and seriously it's so good. There's a sweetness to the broth and yes you can certainly drink it. Comes with a side dipping sauce (fish sauce and chillies).

There is also a dish that's a egg crepe with veggies. You stuff the egg and veggies with mint and basil into the lettuce and roll. Dip it into the sauce and BAM.

Picked up a few things yesterday to give it a shot. Not sure if we will go back to be honest.

Banh Mi was ok. Bread was nice. Lemon grass pork was really chewy and had weird texture. Also, $14 for a banh mi??

Chicken wings were good but expensive ($17 for 6 wings?)

Pho was not my taste. My daughter wanted the vegetarian one but the broth was nothing to write home about.

Lemongrass pork vermicelli bowl. Again pork texture was not great, springs rolls were ok.

Overall, very expensive for what it is.

I visited Hai Phong Vietnamese Restaurant around on Friday afternoon and was really impressed. The place was clean and cozy with charming decor. The grilled beef short ribs rice with shredded pork and egg was absolutely delicious – the beef was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The braised pork was rich and savory, perfectly cooked. Staff were friendly and service was quick. Prices are very reasonable for the quality. I’ll definitely be coming back!

So close to my work, walking distance i tried many restaurants near me. A friend recommended me to this location. Staff is friendly. Food was tasty. Will be back. Hopefully they will get on the happy hour deals like most restaurants..

Been twice, food is great and atmosphere is lit.

Went here with my 8 yr old son, staff were very welcoming. Portions were huge!!! food was great, kids menu was well thought out, reasonably priced. Overall rly appreciated what we got today.

Been here for years. Nothing crazy but good value and consistent. Great spot in the neighbourhood.

Just had lunch. Got the beef pho. It was excellent! Rich flavorful beef broth, tender brisket. Yummmy
Partner had some vegetarian options. Very Ok but not excellent.
