Yummy skewers. Would come back. Would not get the baked seafood though, very underwhelming.
So overpriced
I have to say, it was an extremely terrible experience dining here. Can you imagine a restaurant where the staff yells at customers and forces them to tip 10% of the total bill? They were rude, chased after us, and shouted at us. All they did was bring out the food and put it on the table, nothing more. They even forgot our drinks, and I had to remind them. We didn’t ask for any other service at all.
Then they called the manager over and pressured us to pay the 10% tip, saying “everyone here does it.” Honestly, if they had just politely asked whether there was anything lacking in the service, if we had any suggestions, and requested tips in a respectful way to support the staff, I would have done it.
But instead, they insulted me, saying that because I finished the food, it meant the service was good. Excuse me? I paid for the food, and the prices were outrageous, just two people ordering a small amount of food, and the bill came out to $150.
Absolutely shocked and disappointed by the service here. I’ll never set foot in this place again.
They are obsessed with the tips. I have never seen a restaurant in Canada that makes this much conversation for the tip they want. It is so frustrating especially when you are with a group. I’m not going there again.
Great spot for big groups, especially as a late night post party spot. We went at a busy time so it took a while to get our order in, but the food came out fast and the skewers are yummy.
great spot for late-night eats, especially if you’re craving grilled skewers and bold flavor.
Nice place to hangout with buddies and even family. Food is so good.
Their service is not good but they want me to pay at least 10% tip. The tipping system is free but they forced me to pay. I ended up paying, but I will never go back. After we tipped them they said to us, thank you so much. They don't seem to be educated about service and getting tips. They just want a tip.

The menu has a variety of flavorful options, though it's not the most affordable. There is also a minimum order required per item.

Food was ok vibe was good till waiter was trying to adjust my tip to his liking he said minimum 10% made me mad when I was already giving him more than that. Gave 0 tip because of being pushed to tip more that's not aloud. Please don't do that to your customers. It's not right and you know it! Not impressed (evening November 4th 2024)

I went there and after they bring the food. Server never check the table again. Actually server forgot to put some items. We waited and just forget about it. We order similar items when we come here before. But this time food taste slight different then other day as well. And my friend gave lower tips because, they didnt really provide any service. and that staff ask about at least 10% tips. And we feel that staff ask about tips and dont provide any service. And if we go other place we pay proper amount of tips for good services.

The wooden house’s Guobao Pork is so delicious! After get off work, I came to the wooden house for a late-night snack. The atmosphere was full, the hard work was gone, and I was just happy.

Gave a 5% tip and on my way out one of the staff chased me down and asked why the low tip. She said the min is 10%! I agree, 5 percent is lower than the 15% customary tip, but I only give 5 percent. It's better than zero isn't it? There is no law that says I have to give a certain amount. And let's be real, bringing skewers to a table isn't a particularly difficult task. If a concrete finisher can handle 0%, you're okay with 5%. Next time I come back I'll probably give nothing.
