A classic North American breakfast experience you will ever have in Vancouver.
This restaurant has been established for 64 years. It serves a classic breakfast, such as pancakes and bacon combined with maple syrup, sausage, and hash brown potatoes.
And unlimited black coffee.
The experience and the taste are worth it!

Vintage diner on Main Street that nails the classic retro atmosphere with its cool old-school jukebox and unfussy diner menu. I had a great experience enjoying the pancakes and egg Benny—both were delicious—and the staff made the visit even better with genuinely friendly and attentive service. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a cozy spot with character and great brunch options.

Decent food, I didn't find it too flavorful and I will be sticking to The Basic for my breakfast spot. Thank you though!

Love this place. The old Juke Box at each table, a counter with stools & great service to go along with the great menu/food!

Has gone downhill. Went there with a friend to try their weekend brunch. Big mistake. Poor service. Manager/Owner was cheap on the cream for our coffee/teas. Food quality & presentation was disappointing. Overall terrible. Would never go back and do not recommend it. Many more choices for hearty and good quality dishes.

Been to Helen’s Grill several times over the years and it never changes – which is exactly why this diner is so beloved! You get precisely what you want from old school décor, like mini juke boxes at each table and table-mat menus, Naugahyde covered seats and booth and counter seating to generous portions and refillable coffee. The breakfasts are traditional and gorgeous! To top it off, the service is excellent – efficient and friendly, even when busy.

Here's hoping Helen’s Grill will be around for another 50 years!

This diner has a lot of potential giving the traditional authentic style and the neighborhood. Sadly, the breakfast food is more than disappointing, you are having separate poorly cooked ingredients rather than a meal. If you love eggs benedict - dont come here. Service is non existent. You are being cut off before you are done ordering. They never check on you during the meal or after you finish eating and the restaurant is not busy at all. Server never smiled and looked down on me as if he is doing a favor to serve me food. Need new managment to change place around. I would love to come back if they make improvements.

My first Philly Cheese Steak and it was a delightful thing. Had the soup of the day that was spicy gumbo.... scarfed it down and did not look back. Bonus points for a perfect diner atmosphere and quarter taking jukeboxes at the tables. Friendly staff<3
Thank you guys!

I fondly remember dining here half a decade ago with a number of my friends, so glad I was able to revisit.

Good classic dinner style food. I had the ham eggs benedict it was good I personally thought it lacked flavor kind of bland but still good. The coffee was great & overall I enjoyed my meal if I ever am back in the area I would eat here again.

A classic diner feel, though the taped-up tables and menus stuck to the surface weren’t really my thing. That said, the portion sizes were solid, and the milkshake was a generous size, which I appreciated.
Nothing really stood out as exceptional, but it’s a decent spot if you’re looking for a straightforward, no-frills meal.

For so many years I've been driving past this corner. I didn't realize this corner diner had been in business for over 50 years. My friend took me out for dessert here because she found out there were retro jukeboxes on their tables. Even I was curious if it's for show or did they work.

We arrived in the neighbourhood with plenty of side parking. The waitress who served us looked rough around the edges, but was very polite and comforting. We ordered a chocolate milk shake to share and there was plenty of it. Two people can easily share this. They give you the metal container with extra in it. Next, we decided on the strawberry rhubarb pie. My friend never had rhubarb and she love it. My only critique for the pie was that it looked small and flat, however, delicious.

The ambiance gave an old school feel.
We both fell in love with the retro juke boxes at the table sides. We couldn't stop putting quarters in. We listened to so many old school songs. We had a great time.
Would I come back? Yes, I'm curious about their brunch/breakfast menu.
