Mandatory 20% service charge on every individual transaction, asked to remove it so I could tip what I wanted and was told it's not possible..

Waste of Time. We finished up at Hapa around 11:30 on Saturday and decided to check out Hello Goodbye. As we walked by, we could hear the music echoing around inside, which usually means the place is pretty empty.

Five people came out while we were standing there, and the bouncers reminded them they were open until 3. That gave us the impression that walking in would be straightforward.
I asked the bouncer if there was a cover and he said no, so we figured we would head in. Instead, he told us to wait behind the rope. There was no line. No one ahead of us. Just an empty entrance to an already empty‑sounding club.

After less than a minute, someone else walked up, said a quick word to the bouncer, and was immediately let inside while we were still standing there. At that point, we left and went to The Parlour, which was a much better use of our time.

If your club is so empty that I can hear the echo of your music from the sidewalk, don’t waste my time by pretending there’s a line. Just let people in. Some of us don't have time for that BS.

Terrible experience at Hello Goodbye.

The vibe was off from the start. The bouncers seemed more interested in power-tripping than actually keeping things calm. I saw someone get into a situation that could have been handled professionally, but instead it was escalated unnecessarily.

Security felt aggressive and confrontational, which completely ruined the night. There are way better spots in Vancouver that know how to treat people properly. Would not go back.

Really disappointed with my experience at Hello Goodbye. A small situation involving some guys in our group was completely escalated by the bouncers instead of being calmly handled. The response felt overly aggressive and unnecessary, and one of my friends was treated far worse than the situation called for. Security is supposed to de-escalate, not make things worse. Definitely left a bad impression.

Very disappointing experience at Hello Goodbye Bar. An interaction with the bouncers and staff escalated unnecessarily and became aggressive toward members of our group while we were trying to leave. The situation felt poorly handled and left us feeling unsafe. Definitely not a place I’d return to.

The bouncers are so friendly and great, but I have no clue what is the bargirls problem they have the worst attitude and will charge you $20 for a shot of tequila and add the tip in it. Not even in Cipriani they’ll charge you that much for a shot seriously unbelievable.

Don’t waste your time.

The staff at Hello Goodbye Bar were incredibly rude and unprofessional. We came in expecting a great experience but were met with disrespect instead

Here is my recommendation: D6 Bar, Prophecy bar, Bagheera, Bartholomew

The worst club in vancouver. My friends and I went here and we’d never ever go to hello goodbye ever again. It’s a forever goodbye. I just don’t understand how clubs like this exist.

They made us wait 1.5 hour outside when obviously there was no one inside but I guess they wanted to create a hype of line up! And the security people were just so rude obnoxiously for no reason! When we asked review about this place to few girls in downtown everyone told us to stay away from this place.

Gosh! Please don’t go here! Waste of your time!
We ended up going to karma lounge mansion!

I'm honestly writing a review for how henious the over charges are here. I bought 6 shots for a hundred bucks which is diabolical. Mind you I didn't request a boujie spirit, I was expecting well shots and I wasn't even asked if I wanted a specific spirit. Just poured then charged me a hundred bucks.

We eventually bought a table and was communicated to us we can settle ordering 1 bottle, which is reasonable BUT ended up still charging us the minimum for that table which was over 1k and we didn't even get extra drinks.

I'm sorry for the review but I just cannot justify the money that was spent.

Vancouver nightlife is slowly dying and places like hello goodbye are to blame. To get in you either have to grease the bouncer or buy bottles. People are willing to spend 100 bucks on drinks inside but aren’t allowed in because the bouncers are money hungry… maybe do what you guys were paid to do ??
