Thereās self serve hot and cold water, condiments galore like chili oil, maggi sauce, honey, hot sauce, etc. and a large menu. They are also an onsite bakery so they sell freshly made baked goods like pineapple buns (coming in red bean, chocolate, pineapple, and original flavours), bbq pork buns, chicken buns, coconut buns, mini bolo baos, hot dog buns, egg tarts, and more! They have full on meals like curry brisket and rice, noodle soups, and baked pork chop rice. They also have full hot breakfasts. Itās a place where you can create your own food adventure with lots of customizable combos. Highly recommend their chicken pies which are a savoury, creamy, buttery pocket of warmth and their egg tarts which are fresh and buttery too. They have the best soft scrambled eggs. Very satisfying food and looking forward to returning. Spacious tables and comfy seating.

Ho Yuen Cafe has quietly become me and my dadās little tradition. We come here after my classes, and itās our spot to unwind, eat well, and just talk about life. Thereās something really special about sharing Hong Kong comfort food in a place that feels so warm and familiar. The pineapple buns are a must for those who have never tried before: plus they also serve all day breakfast!
And Josh truly makes the experience. He greeted us with a wave and a kind smile the minute we walked in; providing excellent service. The atmosphere is cozy and easygoing, and itās one of those places that feels personal every time you visit.

We came today after seeing a post people asking for pineapple bun recommendation on a Facebook page.
We loved the idea of āreal pineapple bunā the mystery of growing up wondering - why there is no pineapple inside the pineapple bun - was finally solved. However, we appreciated the taste of original pineapple bun more. The real pineapple pieces and custard with it kind of stole the show. On the contrary, the butter enhanced the flavour and texture of the pineapple bun.
Both milk tea and mix of milk tea & coffee were great. Scrambled eggs did not disappoint either.
I loved the choice of creamy soup for my pan fried pork chop instant noodle. The instant was on the relatively firm side, a nice difference from most of other HK cafes. Specially, the sesame oil was the cherry on the cake. However, I did not enjoy the texture of the pork chop. I would appreciate it more if they were easier on the baking soda. Flavour might not be obvious either, but the creamy soup and sesame oil together were enough for me.
I would buy merchandisers of egg tart and pineapple bun if they were for sale!
