I ordered the spicy miso. The broth was good and tasty. Noodles were a little too much. Delicious bamboo shoots. Service was ok. The chashu was dry, hard, fatty and tasted it was either cooked long ago...or was the worst type of meat chosen to keep costs low. Probably won't visit them again.

Decent ramen. Vancouver has too much competition for good ramen which is why im not giving this a 5 but its a solid ramen.

Probably the worst ramen I’ve had

The food looks good,
But it may be a matter of taste. The soup base and noodles are both average, and it feels a bit like pre-made soup dumplings.
The flavored bamboo shoots are by far the worst restaurant I have ever eaten at.
The salmon meat is dry and the salmon roe is not fishy.
I most appreciate the dark beer.

Hokkaido Ramen Santouka is a solid ramen restaurant with a very similar atmosphere to the ramen restaurants in Japan. I ordered the black garlic ramen and it tasted pretty good. I've been to Japan multiple times and this ramen is somewhat comparable to the quality there. However, I was not happy with the portion size especially with the $20 price tag. The regular size ramen is too small and I was still hungry afterwards.

It was delicious and the server was friendly.
I usually order karaage or gyoza while eating ramen.
It was a pity that they ran out of karaage ingredients and that orders could not be placed at the time.

Had the Miso Ramen and Takoyaki. First time coming here. The atmosphere was very inviting & our server was excellent, I found the broth slightly underwhelming for flavour but the takoyaki was good. Overall was good.

This is my actual top favourite ramen place in Vancouver. Their shio ramen is a classic. The eggs are perfectly poached and marinated. The noodles aren’t too thin. Perfect balance of salt and fat in the broth. And this is going to sound niche but the way they serve their Diet Coke is top tier. They give you a cold glass filled with little ice cube pebbles. The glass is actually hefty. It’s a nice glass. They give you the can so you can pour the amount you want without diluting completely. All in all, I love this place. Gyoza are bomb too.

We had the miso and Kara-miso ramens and found both lacking something like a bit under flavoured and underwhelming. The good part here is that you can option a smaller size ramen. The regular size is just right but quite a bit smaller than what you might be used to. The interior layout is fun and felt traditional to a ramen joint. The takoyaki was tasty.
