Excellent experience of Suhlwahsoo high tea. Was there celebrating a dual birthday for my friend and myself. Everyone was so attentive and kind and caring. The quality of food and the theme was amazing. One of the top high tea experiences we have had in Vancouver in the last 20 years of tea.
I had a wonderful experience at the Diptyque High Tea at Holts Café Vancouver. Both the host and server were very attentive and friendly, which set the tone for a lovely afternoon. My dietary and allergy requests were accommodated without hesitation, and that level of care made me feel both comfortable and genuinely impressed. All of the savoury items were delicious, and the scones were a standout with their great texture and beautiful aroma. The desserts, however, were a bit lacklustre in comparison. I also really appreciated the Diptyque gifts at the end. The bookmark was lovely, and the separate mini scent sample was such a thoughtful touch. The tea selection was delightful, and I loved the explanations and the mini tea box that helped guide the choices. Overall, it was an amazing experience and a wonderful way to start the year. I will definitely be back.
Exceptional afternoon tea! Though portions seemed small, they were surprisingly satisfying. Every bite showcased delicious, thoughtfully curated ingredients, paired with attentive service. To complete this Diptyque Experience, the venue would benefit from signature candles infusing the space with captivating fragrance.
We came for the Diptyque afternoon tea, which was quite poor overall owing primarily to service. We didn't have any special asks or anything, but the baseline service was simply bad — some of the worst I've experienced in Vancouver in a while. When we sat down the waitress dispensed with any welcome or pleasantries and jumped straight to telling us rather abruptly to pick a tea and that we could only try one tea each. In and of itself that is rather underwhelming (customarily you can have as many fresh tea refills and varieties as you would like), but the tone was quite offputting and continued for our entire stay. Other than a brief and oddly direct “everything good yes?, there was no effort to check in on us at all during our stay. We were able to get a hot water refill once during our visit but had to chase our waitress down for that. It took ages to pay our bill as our waitress seemed to have left for the day and so one of us had to walk up to someone to ask if we could pay. Notwithstanding a small sample of Diptyque products at the end (which was nice), there was no other theming. The imaging online suggests there would be Diptyque scents (e.g., candles burning or diffusers) but this was not the case. They were out of several flavours of tea as well, which wasn't a big issue but a bit underwhelming. The price wasn't too high so the value was fine, but honestly I'd rather they charge a premium and provide full service. I've dined at Holt's Cafe a few times in the past and enjoyed it so was not expecting this.
I had an overall pleasant experience. The staff were genuinely kind and attentive, the service was smooth, and the food was beautifully presented and thoughtfully prepared. One point I wanted to mention relates to the Diptyque theme referenced throughout the menu. While dining, I found myself wondering about its role in the experience. It was only afterward that I realized guests were meant to receive a Diptyque sample, which I did not receive. Without that element, the thematic connection felt incomplete. This didn't detract from the quality of the food or service, but I wanted to share the feedback, as the concept relies on that detail to fully land.
Doesn't say anywhere except a comment on their insta post that the Vancouver location does not have the holiday high tea. Very misleading and very poor handling of the situation by staff as well. Definitely not worth almost 80.
Every aspect of this amazing Vancouver restaurant is absolutely perfect. Stunning decor. Incredible food and amazing service. Nestled in the beautiful Holt Renfrew Store, this is our favourite restaurant. Stunning design and impeccable service.
Great food and service! Menu has many healthy options to choose from. Would highly recommend.
It's a nice place to get away from all the shopping and sit down for a quiet and delicious meal or drink in the mall!
Brunch menu is to die for! my favourite is the Maui rice with beef, the chef truly has extraordinary talent! Amazing experience every time is like the first time!

The current high tea at Holts it’s not worth it. Starting at $78, we received only 2 items that were outlined in their set high tea menu. Truly disappointed. The replacement items are not equal too the original items either. Would recommend just ordering from the regular menu.

I didn't realize that the restaurant in inside holt Renfrew which was hard to find and to park. One of the 2 plates we ordered was under par (waffles overcooked...). Poor experience overall, and pricey meal.
Super fun! I enjoyed the many delights of the GOOD VIBES TEA - a Brazilian-inspired collab with Byredo to celebrate their new scent, Alto Astral. The food was outstanding, as was the service and ambience. Mid-afternoon tea time avoids the lunch-time crush! 👍🏼 Very nice mini-vacay!
Called to inquire whether there are options for plant based afternoon tea. I was told No. this is HIGHLY disappointing. Maybe work on a more inclusive option!!!
