Excellent service - we weren’t even ordering food and she still offered us the tea. I decided to order nevertheless and the food was great too. Thank you, kind lady!

We went to have lunch. As usual the staff was friendly. Prices reasonable consider the location. Ordered BBQ pork and wonton 🍜 noodles. Pork ribs steamed. Sweet buns. The ribs were soft. BBQ pork was tender. Wonton with great size and favor. Noodles include some fresh veggies too. Reasonable portions. There was a sign out front saying last day of operation oct 19. Sad to see this go. 😞

Took out a BBQ Pork Chow Mein ($14.70 with tax). It was very plain and simple with thin pork slices, scallions/onions, and garnished with some sesame seeds. Would be nice if there was another kind of veg added (carrots, mushrooms, etc.), as it otherwise fell kind of flat/one-dimensional. The noodles were cooked well, and the dish had a good soy flavour. Portion wise, it was good for 2 meals! Ordered in-store and the food was ready within 10 minutes. The food is nothing fancy, but I'd return for a quick and affordable meal. They have other rice and noodle dishes, sides, and dim sum.
A solid spot for a quick wonton meal. The BBQ pork and wonton was flavourful and satisfying, served hot and fast. Service is efficient and to the point, and the atmosphere is simple and casual, making it easy to drop in for a no-fuss meal. A reliable choice when you’re craving a classic bowl of wonton noodles.

We got the wonton noodle soup, BBQ pork rice and fried tofu. Decent portion for the price. Tofu were crispy and not at all greasy. There's street parking right in front and more about a block away around the corner.

Lots of Homless in the area and the restraunt is more of a takeout place than a dine inn

It was a quick dinner for me heading home, my noodles were burnt. Didn't send back because I didn't want to deal with the hassle I was hungry.

First time visit to this location on East Broadway. Limited menu choices. Food quality was ok. Small restaurant with 8 tables indoor and additional outdoor patio tables.

I've been going to Hons since I was 12. I remember when they used to have large full restaurants across the lower mainland. I was obsessed with their chicken and lettuce fried rice. It was always so good, eggy, plenty of leftovers, and still tasted good even when warmed up over the next few days. This is not the Hons I remember. Maybe it's a new owner, considering they are all now but two small locations shut. Tonight I ordered the chicken fried rice, thinking it was what I remember and just renamed, but no. It is a completely different dish, different texture, bland and frankly, didn't taste good at all. I only ate a small bit of it and have no intention of finishing the rest. I'm so dissapointed that a place I loved so much and one of my favorite comfort foods is officially gone.
Very good! Loved the Beef Brisket with Rice combo. Very good, nice, tender and juicy! Friendly staffs/servers!

Not like I remember it from 20 years ago. I had the beef brisket curry. It was overly salty, a smallish portion, and the neat was overly chewy. I used to eat at Hon's in New West, some 20 years ago. Rhe portions were much larger, the beef was more infused with the curry broth, and it was softer. I don't know - maybe it's shrinkflation.
I'll probably return again at some point, but visiting Hon's this past weekend left me disappointed. They used to be the best of the best when it came to beef brisket curry. Now they're only slightly better than average.
