We stayed at the JW Marriott, where this Honey Salt is located in, and had it two times. The first time was great. We had a night cap and some snack food one evening. We had a young male bartender with a French (Quebecois?) accent whose name I did not catch, but he was super friendly and attentive, answered my wife's many questions, and made sure we were good throughout our visit. We had the Korean fried chicken, garlic shrimp, and Brussel sprouts, all of which came out quickly, hot, and delicious. Drinks were well made too. 5 star visit all around. We then had breakfast made to go so we could enjoy it in the hotel room. I'm not sure if this was the norm or if they were short staffed, but the order could not be brought to the room so we had to go pick it up. No issue, it was ready in the 15 minutes they said it would be. I go down, pick up the food, get back to the room, and we discover they did not pack utensils in the bag. I then go back down to the restaurant to get utensils. By the time I get back up to the room, my wife discovered that they missed the bagel for her smoked salmon board. When she called down, the person who took the order (whom I believe was also the hostess) put her on hold (we're guessing to go to the kitchen) and came back a few minutes later to say there isn't a bagel with the salmon board. My wife politely asked her to read the description on the menu, after which she gets put on hold long enough for it to ring back, and another person said they are working on it. I'm guessing there was more discussion, possibly menu reading and finger pointing, but finally they ask us to come down yet again to get the missing item. I get back up to give my wife her bagel, and I look in my order to discover that they did not provide syrup with my chicken and waffles. Needless to say, I ate it without the syrup. The people I did talk to were apologetic, but I feel like there should have been some compensation without me asking after the second mess up.In summary, I believe this is probably a good place to eat and drink as long as you do it in the restaurant. Save yourself several trips to the lobby and do not order it to go.

Aesthetically, it’s bomb. The color palette used in the interior is so comforting to the eyes, it’s smooth and it matched the atmosphere it wanted to created. They nailed it.Was so giddy to order and see how they plate the food too. However, we were sat for more than 10 minutes and no one came to our table, not even glasses of water for my friend and I. I had to flagged down the girl who was standing near the POS machine. The place isn’t even that busy and I can see so many staff going around but I guess, they didn’t care if it’s not their table?!? ( felt like it, had no clue about the system )But yeah, we were attended by the server. She was pleasant but couldn’t even say more about the food choices other than “ it’s really good “The flavors, texture and the taste of the food is there. But it’s lacking in the plating department,So contrary to how gorgeous the place is.The place is great, the culinary department just need to match what the restaurant wanted to embody.

Honey Salt is the lobby restaurant in the JW Marriott Parq Vancouver. Throughout our stay at the hotel, we passed by the restaurant and finally couldn't resist the dessert. We ordered a chocolate banana cake as take-out to enjoy in our room and it was decadent and delicious!

I had a wonderful experience at salt and honey It was very pretty in there and we received great service. I was drawn in by the beautiful interior and have been wanting to go for a long time.I ordered the shrimp linguini and a ceaser salad it was 36$ for both I thought the food was delicious and just the right portion for me. We also ordered the Brookie a brownie cookie and it tasted really good too.It was pretty quiet in the restaurant which we did not mind.

small portions especially caesar salad and mussels (9) , pricey wine by the glass 9oz chard $24. average service pasta serving was also small for the price. Probably wont go back, too many other options in downtown

The best thing is the cheese fondue. It's kind of rare to find fondue at restaurants in Vancouver. It was a perfect size for two and our server was very helpful and knew the portion. Crispy mushrooms were so delicious. Overall, good ambience and service. Our server was very nice and friendly. Only thing that I would like to see a change is, not to keep cutleries on the bare table , instead, wrapped with napkins.

Not as good as they started. The food was overpriced, not worth it at all.

My wife and I always enjoy breakfast at the Honey Salt when staying overnight at the Douglas or Marriott Hotel. The staff at the HS are so friendly and always exceed our customer service expectations. This occasion marked our 30th anniversary, which was recognized at check-in for our reservation. It was a nice touch. The breakfast started with a vanilla latte for my wife and I enjoyed a coffee that, while simple, is probably the best-brewed coffee in the area. For breakfast, my wife had the Sweet Potato Pancakes, which were as delicious as they were creative, and I enjoyed the Roasted Mushroom Benedict. The Myca Farms mushrooms are cooked perfectly, and the poached eggs are perfect. It's artwork :) The wonderful service, combined with a bright atmosphere and exceptional food makes for a wonderful breakfast experience.
