Absolutely horrible experience I had last night on Oct 31st with my group of 5 people. To start things off our server Jamie R was just terrible, immediately broke 2 glasses on our table, never brought us a coke after we had to ask 3 times, and when it came time to split the bills it was all switched up and wrong. On top of all of that, I’ve got my receipt and I’ve noticed we got a 18% service charge when it was only supposed to be for parties of 6 or more? Absolutely unprofessional move by either the management or the server, there should not be a service charge on top of the bill if it’s stated for only parties of 6 (we had 5). If I had noticed this last night I would have asked for a refund. Would not recommend coming here, even on Halloween it was not busy and there was still many screw ups:

Stay away from this place at all costs. I was a regular customer and brought friends on a regular basis. The number of issues we had every single time was ridiculous. More than once, and the most recent time this happened was the final straw, the server failed to mention that there was a mandatory 18% service charge - so we tipped ON the tip because he greedily & sneakily didn’t tell us. We only realised this after we paid. I confronted him and he couldn’t explain himself, he knew he had been caught out.
Servers were nonstop disappointing for the years we were visiting, so we called it quits especially after the latest server pretty much scamming us.

Stay away from this restaurant at all cost. I'm not exaggerating at all and I try to be honest and fair but there is no redeeming quality for this establishment. The food is not good at all even their supposed specialty, strudel. Ordered the burgers, wings, tacos and strudel and they all tasted premade. Burger patty and wings tasted like it was purchased from a supermarket, tacos tasted doughy and premade and strudel tasted like it was heated from a microwave. There's only one guy in the back doing everything so I'm assuming, everything is just being reheated and the fact that they charge premium price for food quality like this is completely nuts.
Toxic tipping culture is crazy as well, they charge you 18% mandatory tip if there are 6 or more in your party so we ended up...more like forced to pay $17 on tip despite the bare minimum service and low food quality. A tip is earned through exceptional food and service, not because there's 6 of us.

went to Homey Brew Bistro, the place where you can quickly grab a bite. I ordered takeout and waited about 35 minutes. Since the café is right under my building, it took me only 2 minutes to get home. But when I opened the bag, the food and the burger were cold — even the bun was cold. I thought maybe at least the patty and cheese would still be warm, but they were also cold. Honestly, the impression was not very good.

Don’t usually like to give terrible reviews but feel obliged to warn people to save their money. Our chicken wings were disgusting and inedible, the hummus and pitas were terrible. Server was friendly enough but not competent at all. We were walking by and it seemed cute but wouldn’t eat there again.
