Lowk confused about the open hours here bc it says on google that they open till 6 but the whole place is closed when I got here at 5:45. Btw the sushi rolls are really bad the salmon in there tastes like mush the only thing edible is prob the takoyaki
Great customer service with a variety of to-go options. Such a valuable place if considering a quick, decent meal on campus.
Honour Roll Sushi in The Nest at UBC is truly a standout spot for lunch on campus. From their exceptional service to their delicious poke bowls, this place has consistently exceeded my expectations. The staff is always friendly and efficient, ensuring that even during peak hours, the waiting times remain impressively short.
The poke bowls are a must-try—fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned, all at an incredibly affordable price. It has undoubtedly made my lunches at UBC a highlight of my day, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a satisfying, budget-friendly meal on campus.
Good food
The vendor is not greeting the customers. When passing the order the vendor did not flinch nor talk to me.
The vendor through a number at me without telling me what it was for.
When the food was ready the vendor did not say anything, I had to check myself.
So she lost her tips - obviously.
Like most students, the vendor doesn't need the income for which she works but it's not a reason to be despicably unprofessional.
It is pathetic to realize how low AMS is ready to go to hire aid.
Not everyone is meant to work, especially the privileged kids who despise labor work because they know it is not something they'll have to do.
The people in charge of hiring SHOULD REALLY start questioning themselves

Restaurantji Recommends
Ordered chicken teriyaki. Feels like the chicken stayed in the fridge for years. Frozen on the inside and you will need very strong teeth to bite it open - better prepare a bowl for any falling teeth.

The vegetable tempura had RAW flour inside it. I didn’t take a picture because I was so traumatized. I ordered tempura donburi. I had indigestion afterwards and threw up.

If you need to get out of a commitment last-minute, here’s where you can get food poisoning! I recommend the poke bowls for this purpose. At least the food here tastes ok.

Their Kimchi soup is not good. Bland and watery.

I have ordered several time their Bulgogi over rice. It’s my fav dish from them because they made it right there and it’s always hot. The only bad thing about it is that it’s a kinda oily / greasy. And that recently I noticed they had been giving less in their portion. Tip: they will charge you a bit less if you bring your own container.
