We had a great meal on the Patio. I enjoyed the Octopus modified for my Celiac disease grilled rather than a tempura batter. My wife loved the salmon indicating that it was perfectly cooked - a tricky thing to achieve. The service was always prompt and interacted in every movement inquiring about our satisfaction and needs. A terrific evening
Good variety on menu; lots of seafood options. Food tasted great! Awesome view of English Bay. Excellent attentive service!
The patio at Hook was gorgeous with views of the beach, and the oysters shucked by Mac were delicious! Great service, great atmosphere, great food!
The service with Theo was fantastic and the food was worth the value considering location and quality. I'm surprised that we were able to be seated with a beautiful view, despite how busy it was. I appreciate the lengths that Hook goes to in order for their guests to have a fun and enjoyable experience.
Very seldom do u find consistency in service from any restos but the host and two servers were super polite, engaging and very attentive. This stems from the individuals, team, and ultimately management/owners. Be sure to check out the patio during the summer and their happy hour!
“We celebrated my birthday and my friend's gender reveal at Hook — she's having twin boys! The food was really great and the ambience was very nice. Theo was an awesome server. We will definitely be back at Hook.”
The salmon burger was very disappointing, $25 for a piece of salmon 1/3 of the size of the bun.. flavour was alright though. All the food we ordered was pretty good, a different menu than I can remember from before(some disappointment there). Ambience is great. Service was good.
Delicious Prawn Pasta. Wish I could cook like that! My friend's seafood salad was great too. Refreshing cocktails. Pleasant service.
Not one to post a review, but very disappointed in the food and service. Plates on table were dirty (had to swap with an empty table beside us). Told lobster was sold out, which meant 3 dishes weren't available. Ordered Mussles and clams... And 10 minutes later was told they were also out of mussles (3 more plates off the menu). Settled for Salmon, while my wife had the sablefish. Fish was ok, but nothing special (salmon may have been improved with a crispy skin). Had the calamari as well, and really enjoyed it... So not a complete let down, but definitely not worth the price.
I've been all over the world, and I swear this was the worst food of my life. Genuinely not just one, but every single dish. We ordered two appetizers and 3 meals. Everything tasted like it had been sitting and microwaved to serve. The crab dip was literally rubber. The poor waiter was solo and overwhelmed but that's ok. It's the food quality that was the issue. Hope we don't get sick from the bites we did manage to chew and swallow

Theo really made the experience incredible. Food was delicious - his recommendations did not lead us astray, and he was very knowledgeable about the menu. We had a great time! Would recommend. The fish and chips were fantastic, as was the short rib, and octopus.
While our server was excellent and I appreciated being able to substitute a salad for the focaccia bread, we were very disappointed in the seafood linguine. Overlooking the water in Vancouver we expected great seafood at a seafood restaurant . The meal was almost entirely linguine with some very tiny pieces of unrecognizable seafood meat mixed in. The description said ‘ with Prawns, mussels and clams'. Not at all what one would except for a seafood restaurant!
Very rude staff.
Food was great, wasn't too busy Friday night but service was very slow food came before the drinks.

The scenery is really beautiful, both outdoors and indoors by the window! Be sure to come before the sun goes down. It won’t be too cold outside in winter and there are heaters and blankets to cover you with.
The fish and chips are quite delicious, the others are average
There is pool to play inside, but it costs $2 in cash.
