Tried their Dine Out menu, everything was good except the bread can be less salty, other than that no complaint for a 3 course dinner for only $45. Staffs were very attentive and friendly, they kept taking the fork away from my son and made him to ask for a fork every 10 minutes lol. The only thing is their mocktails were not so good, and I am usually the designated driver for our group .
Victoria and the staff were amazing. Had such a lovely experience. The food was delicious and everyone was so friendly. Will definitely be back!

Very generous portions, the focaccia is perfectly soft and crispy for my liking, and the seafood chowder is also really creamy. The cocktails are very nice as well, I had the Sea Sprig (light and refreshing) and tried the Captain Pick Me Up (sweet and creamy). The servers are great and the service is top notch, the prawns in the linguine are giant. 10/10 will visit again

Was here for Dine Out Vancouver. Appetizers were excellent. I had the mussels & clams, which were perfectly cooked in a tasty broth. My husband had the seafood chowder which was very flavourful. For the main I ordered the strip loin steak which was very salty, sitting in a salty sauce. I let the server know and she asked if I wanted the kitchen to cook me another one, or she could bring a lemon to help cut the salt. I felt bad asking the kitchen to cook another steak as it was already a good deal. Unfortunately, the lemon didn't help cut the salt. After I thought maybe getting a glass of water to rinse the steak out may have helped. Anyways, I couldn't finish it. Dessert was good. I had the tiramisu with gelato. It was a touch dry, but the chocolate sauce and gelato helped. My partner had the skillet cookie which he enjoyed. Ambiance was okay - very casual with duct tape around the windows to keep the wind out. If more folks were there it could get loud, as there's no sound dampening. Service was attentive and timely. They took the ice tea ($4) off of the $108 bill when the server noticed I hadn't finished my steak. Good overall but not great.
Went there this past Saturday and had one of the worst meal experiences of my life. Two people got food poisoning, main courses took over 2.5 hours to arrive. Food arrived cold. Service staff was completely over worked as they were under staffed. Reached out to management and got radio silence. Go there at your own risk.

One meal came when everyone else was finished eating. Server offered a beer but our guest only ever has one drink
Amazing food, even better service. We came to try the Dine-Out Vancouver Menu and were impressed with the quality and quantity of the meal. Great value! The service was excellent too, Victoria was such a pleasure. Victoria and Boston both went above and beyond for us :)

Another restaurant that’s all about the view and location, Hook Seabar is a great summertime patio option, especially for Happy Hour. They used to have a few dedicated vegan options on the menu, but the last time I was there they’d switched things up and pretty much got rid of all of them, which was super disappointing.
That said, the patio is amazing and absolutely where it’s at. It’s also one of the most dog-friendly spots in the city I’ve come across. Prices are reasonable, staff are awesome, and I really hope they bring back some vegan options soon. Either way, it’s still a great place to admire the ocean with an inexpensive glass of wine, and honestly, that’s good enough for me.

First time at Hook and it was fantastic! We tried the cod burger and the ahi tuna salad—both were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Our server was friendly & genuinely helpful. She gave great recommendations, making our visit even better. The patio with sunset views made it the perfect spot for our first visit. This is a must-visit for anyone who loves seafood and great hospitality!
