Great location for delicious and innovative Japanese food. The menu has a lot of variety with traditional Japanese dishes but also many West coast touches. The staff were attentive and friendly. Mocktails were enjoyed by the kids!Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options. We were excited to see vegetarian gyoza as an appetizer.Kid-friendliness: Our pre-teen and teen enjoyed Hoshi!

Waited 20 minutes for drinks and 50 minutes for food and it wasn’t even busy. The sukiyaki is an insult to sukiyaki. Costs $46 and there were 5 slices of hotpot-style beef (wish I were exaggerating). Rest of the food was good enough. Overall a huge tourist trap and an affront to Japanese izakayas to anyone who has been to one. Go to Guu instead and pay less for much better tasting food.

Our extended family of 15 had a special family gathering this evening at Hoshi. We ordered a lot of dishes, over 30, but they came out very quickly and everything was so delicious that even though it was a lot of food, we didn't have any left. The servers were very kind and attentive, and we were very grateful that they served us with a smile despite our many requests. It was an excellent choice for us to choose Hoshi for our family gathering. I will definitely come back ?

DONT COME HERE IF YOU WANNA GET STOMACH ACHE AND HEADACHE FROM THE STRESS WITH THEIR AWFUL SERVICE❌‼️I had a very disappointing experience in this restaurant!The service was really slow, the food took forever to arrive, and it made me sick afterwards. Plus, the waitress kept messing up our orders. Considering it wasn’t a busy night and there’s only one table aside from us! It completely ruined our friend’s birthday celebration should’ve probably go else where your money is worth. I definitely wouldn't suggest this place to anyone. PLEASE BEWARE ‼️
